As usual, this week’s broadcast version of GraniteGrok and AnkleBitingPundits brings an array of items and guests for your consideration– ALL STARTING AT 9AM! As always, thanks to the technical wizardry and analytical skills of Skip, if you are beyond the broadcast area of Newstalk 1490 WEMJ, simply click here for instructions on how to connect and listen on the Internet via livestream. (Podcasts here)

  • Matt Murphy of the Granite State Employee Freedom Coalition checks in with a quick update on the present status of the Employee Free Choice Act– EFCA (secret ballot voting for unionization)– and points out that even George McGovern– yep THAT George McGovern– favors the ballot for union voting. Why wouldn’t everyone?

  • Our friend Liz Mair is now the Online Communications Director, eCampaign Division for the Republican National Committee. She’ll drop by (well, by phone) to talk about the single biggest issue of the campaign lately: energy. Specifically, she’ll outline the difference in the McCain approach versus the Obama approach. Like everything else, they’re night and day…

  • Amil Imani is an Iranian-born American citizen and pro-democracy activist residing in the United States of America. Imani is a columnist, literary translator, novelist and an essayist who has been writing and speaking out for the struggling people of his native land, Iran. He and his family escaped Iran after the radical Islamic revolution. His observations on the growing Islamo-fascist threat need to be heard and understood by as many people as possible if we are going to stem the tide. I have often written of the danger I perceive we face by allowing the construction of mosques here in this country. Mr. Imani has graciously allowed us to post several of his writings here on the ‘Grok which delve into some of the facts demonstrating why my fear is not off-base. We’ll discuss that, along with the recent Tyson Chicken workers union deal (now reversed, apparently) swapping Labor Day for Eid al-Fitr. We’ll also talk about his FrontPageMag.com article that got mentioned by Rush Limbaugh in which he defines the term "useful idiots" for a new age. We’ll learn the latest about the Islamic regime ruling Iran and why Amil has begged Barack Obama not to repeat the mistakes of Jimmy Carter and "betray my people." If this interview doesn’t get your hackles up, nothing will. Mr. Imani has already agreed to join us again soon.

  • James Pindell is the national managing editor of the Politicker.com websites and a columnist for the New Hampshire website PolitickerNH.com, one of the hottest places on the Internet for all things political. He’ll give us his analysis of the Bradley/Stephen race, and what it means for Shea-Porter. We’ll also cover the Second Congressional District race, Shaheen/Sununu, the gubernatorial campaign (there is one?), the state of the various House and Senate contests and whether the GOP really has a prayer of a chance at success. James will also preview the soon to be unveiled "Pindell Report."

Wow! It all starts at 9AM EST Saturday. Tune in if you’re in Central NH at NewsTalk 1490AM WEMJ or live on the ‘Net here… The best radio (in our humble opinions) anywhere…
