Racism? For President? Hardly

(H/T: John D)

This must be making Liberals and race-baiters’s heads explode.  All their finely tuned theories of being able to make some the oppressed and some the oppressors just is going out the window.  Comedian Janeane Garafalo, for instance, plain called all the TEA Partiers "straight up racists" for opposing President Obama.  They just can’t seem to understand that while their world view is race based, we could care less.  It isn’t his skin color, its his liberal / Progressive / socialist policies that we hate.  But people like her, and Al Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson, and a whole phalanx of folks of that ilk cannot seem to muster the intellectual horsepower to actually muster a reasonable argument.  Thus, they are reduced to "skin calling".

Problem is, it has been overused so much, they just aren’t getting the idea that, pretty much, we don’t care what they call us.  They haven’t figured out yet that their "Cry Wolf" tactics have been so overplayed that it is like an abused drug therapy – the tolerance levels continue to rise to where a drug no longer can meet its purpose.  So too has this tactic of the Left, as they have abused its real meaning in real life – simply disagreeing with Obama is not racist.  Wishing to defeat him in the next election is not racist.

And, – it is simply politics. But race inflamed Leftists like Garafalo simply expose themselves as mindless twits as they complete a circle as effective as the OWS folks drum circles with this:

Pro-Life: Ron Paul

I have been a Ron Paul supporter ever since I happened upon his fledgling campaign in 2008. I remember my very socially conservative family, each of whom was supporting Huckabee, insisited that because Ron Paul is a "libertarian," he is therefore in favor of unrestricted abortion. As I pointed out to them then, not only … Read more

White Conservative Racists

The monthly Hot Air Presidential Poll is out and Herman Cain is kicking some serious ass among the conservative racists we keep hearing about. They must be feeling almost as guilty as the white liberal racist that voted for Obama.

Is it time for liberty-and-freedom Republicans to united behind one candidate now?

It may already be happening: This from the International Business Times online: "Herman Cain holds an astounding 20-point lead over Mitt Romney in a poll of Republican primary voters released Thursday, and he is in a statistical tie with President Obama." You can read the whole thing HERE.

A nagging irritation from yesterday’s Granite Oath PAC event

Like the questioner said, "This troubles me greatly"

During the Q & A session of yesterday’s Granite Oath PAC, a retired US Marine officer asked this question (3:49-8:25):

This last week, your own Lt. Governor said that your support for in-state Tuition for illegal aliens was wrong and inappropriate.  Why do you continue to support it?"

Well, Gov. Perry launched confidently into his answer and went on to talk at length on his policies and efforts on denying illegals driving licenses, to have voter ID, anti-sanctuary city legislation, and securing the border (and the fault of the Feds in not doing so).

Fine and dandy.

Perry points out that due to Federal Law, that Texas (and NH) is required to take care of illegal aliens children K-12 educationally and healthcare-wise. And then asks the question:

"We also had to decide what are we going to do with young people that have come into our state by no fault of their own and find themselves going to our public schools, doing the work, and then being prepared to go to college.  These young people, we decided, as a state…those young people who are not being subsidized in any form or fashion, they are paying full state tuition to go to those state Universities in the state of Texas, but here was our choices. We either kick them to the curb and pick up the cost of whatever thats going to be later down the road and we analyzed as they were going to cost more money if we did not allow them to be educated and become part of the workforce in the state of Texas.  That was the right thing for Texas to do.

But like the questioner said, "This troubles me greatly".
