There will be a public hearing Wednesday on CACR 14, a proposed amendment that would enshrine abortion in the New Hampshire Constitution.
If CACR 14 passes, the New Hampshire Constitution would state:
The right to make personal reproductive medical decisions is inviolate and fundamental to the human condition. Neither the State nor any political subdivision shall infringe upon or unduly inconvenience this right.
This would mean no more parental notification for minors having abortions. It would mean that the New Hampshire taxpayers would be forced to pay for abortions. It would mean an end on the ban on partial-birth abortions. And it would mean that we could have no future restrictions of any kind on abortions, not even in the third trimester.
The hearing on this CACR is taking place this WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 22, at 1 PM, in Room 208 of the Legislative Office Building in Concord. (The LOB is located on State Street, directly behind the State House).
