Trump did an exclusive interview at the White House for 60-minutes, but things have taken a turn. In anticipation of deceptive editing, the President tossed a shot across the networks bow when he tweeted images of Lesley Stahl unmasked with a promise that there is “Much more to come.”

In a follow up the President explained that “for the sake of accuracy in reporting, I am considering posting my interview with Lesley Stahl of 60 Minutes, PRIOR TO AIRTIME! This will be done so that everybody can get a glimpse of what a FAKE and BIASED interview is all about…”
The White House taped the interview, which longtime Grok readers know is a thing we tell people to do. As Ed Naile likes to say, they have no interest in making you look good or promoting your interest. And this is true, so I always tell candidates during training sessions to have someone (with you) record any interaction with a reporter (which is everyone these days).
If you do not have a full context copy of the conversation, they could do whatever it takes to make you look bad. Knowing you can rebut any edits with full context has an interesting effect. They don’t use your remarks deferring to some rube who didn’t know better. But this is 60-Minutes so, to borrow from Joe Biden, it’s “a big f**king deal.”
Yes, Trump is reported to have “ended” one line of questioning or some suggested feature of the interview that he thought inappropriate. This has spurred rumors Trump walked-out on the interview, but he has the video, so CBS has lost control of that narrative.
As for the threat of a preemptive strike, the selectively-editing-collusion-lying-partisan-media is acting offended. Screw them. Their lies in service to the left have earned them this and more. And as long as the White House holds this over their heads, they risk compromising themselves further.
Keep in mind that this is no guarantee. Surrogates for the left will willingly throw themselves on a grenade to get a narrative started, and as the saying goes, a lie travels around the world before the truth can pull up its pants.
This close to the election, martyrs could be numerous, and if Biden wins, absolution will be granted to all. If he loses, they’ll be forgotten, especially if they take up arms (real or rhetorical) in the civil war that follows.
And I think that may be inevitable. They know they can’t beat Trump. All they can do is make a mess of the election as to invalidate it. Deny Trump a clean win, and maybe steal enough seats to make Impeachment 2.0 stick.
Your job? GOTV. Blow the Dems out of office everywhere in volumes that no amount of fraud can salvage. And make sure you have enough ammo. That right to self-defense only works if you have ammo.
