For the sake of perspective, does anyone else find it funny that Maine’s loony left bills mirror New Hampshire’s almost exactly? Funny “odd” or funny like this? How about both? And to answer the question, no it’s not odd or funny, it’s deliberate and well planned.
If you are disinclined to believe that sort of thing or think it’s right-wing, black-powder-patriarchy conspiracy nonsense consider this. A partial list of what Democrats in Maine are pushing this session.
- Carbon tax
- fuel oil tax to subsidize insulation/efficiency for others
gas tax - mandates on employers (paid leave, ‘fair work week’ hours’ restrictions, screwing with comp which will radically raise premiums…)
- Fees on recreation (ATV etc.)
- Red flag law
- magazine capacity restriction
- universal background check
- get rid of Columbus Day
- Millions to subsidize ‘immigrants’ to move here
- up teacher pay $10k baseline
- medicaid expansion
- Remove background check re. criminal history for employers
- National Popular Vote
- Make ranked choice voting for ALL elections in the state
Not exhaustive by any means, they have 2,500 bills in the session.
Points of separation between the two would be so slim as to be invisible even to scrutiny.
This reinforces why we report on the legislative hijinks in places like Oregon, New Mexico, New York, and California.
If their Democrats are doing it ours will too. It’s all coming from the same place and headed toward one permissible conclusion. The tyranny of collective rule by an elite political class.
The Left’s politics, wherever they are expressed, are the same as local Democrat politics. They all want the same taxes, fees, restrictions, and limitations. It’s a single template. One Ring to Rule Them All!
There is no diversity only State power before all things. Socialism, which only exists to bring about communism. And they are all in on it.
The only cure is to stop electing Democrats.
So, stop already, will ya?
