NH Arts Advocates Losing NEA Money Should Ask The Clintons for Cash

national-endowment-for-the-arts-logoDonald Trump’s budget removes taxpayers from mandatory tithing to the National Endowment for the Arts. Arts advocates in New Hampshire are preparing to mobilize to fight for the one million they stand to lose. But since it’s just a million, why not ask the Clinton’s for it instead? They were huge supporters of the often fringy, offensive, but still taxpayer funded National Endowment for what passes for Arts.

Or, they could bypass the Clintons, who collected somewhere between $10-$25 million from the Saudis and go right to the Kingdom for a handout.

A million dollars is throw-away money for an oil sheik. Sure, that sheik or prince might expect some unique entertainment in return. I wouldn’t lead with La Cage a faux. Stick with something that involves young girls, sexual discrimination, and human rights violations.

Warren Buffett, loaded.

Plenty of left wing douche-bag billionaires run companies like Facebook, Google, Microsoft, and others. A million dollar write-off is still a write-off, and even it weren’t it’s only a million dollars. They pay lawyers more than that annually to intimidate people with threatening letters.

If you’d like to stay in New Hampshire, we’ve got plenty of wealthy leftists who would praise the Piss-Christ for a chance to milk taxpayers to fund the NEA. One or two of them could easily pony up a cool mil to save an economy the Concord Monitor suggests would be doomed if Trump has his way with Arts funding.

How about former New York City Mayor Bloomberg. He spent enough money on anti-gun groups and anti-gun legislation in the Granite State–wasted might be a better word–to keep the arts alive and well in New Hampshire until the early 2020’s. And that doesn’t count what he’ll lose next year or the year after pushing the same rock. How much better would that money be for the state economy if he invested it in the arts?

Planned Parenthood’s annual lobbyist payroll (just in New England) would keep the dream alive. And that’s just the lobbying budget to lobby for taxpayer handouts. Imagine what Planned Parenthood could do if they donated a dollar for every baby part sold or abortion performed from a future NEA funding taxpayer they executed in the womb?

Talk about rolling in dough.

The list of potential left wing revenue sources other than a poorly run federal program is almost endless. (George Soros blinks, and a million gets wasted on some idiot left-wing NGO.)

The reality is, of course, that none of these operations would ever consider directing their dollars to something that a few protesters (or rioters) could convince Congress to fund by force. That is true compassion.

Sorry Artsy folks. The US government is not your sovereign master upon whom you should rely on for your ‘supper.’ If your “art” is any good, it will earn a living. It will find support and private benefactors.  There are plenty of them out there.

If your art can only survive through plunder, in this case by force of law, it’s not worth funding.
