Those who are regular readers and listeners will not be surprised, either by Jim’s decision to definitely explore a run for Congress, or our self-evident pleasure that he has chosen to do so. This morning, it became official, when we received the following press release:
Lawrence to launch Exploratory Committee for Bid for Congress in NH CD2
Hudson, NH – With strong Republican support for Jim Lawrence, an exploratory committee was formed today that could set the stage for a second run for Congress. In recent weeks weeks, dozens of Republican activists have contact Lawrence, urging him to run for Congress against current Democrat Rep. Ann Kuster.
This is the first affirmative step that the three term State Rep, Veteran and Graduate of the U.S Air Force Academy has made to run for congress this year.
Two years ago Lawrence launched a candidacy that grabbed 20% of the vote in 91 days against two candidates that had campaigned for over a year. This performance has created a movement among voters that a Lawrence candidacy could go the distance and win CD2 for the Republicans.
