Top 20 Grok Posts for 2013

Grok Top 20 for 2013This years top 20, like last years, is based entirely on comments.  So it is  not so much the top 20 best posts for content, reporting, or style  just the ones that inspired the most debate.

This years number one comment-getting post is number one because the subject of the post was so ‘inspired’ by their having been reported on, that they unloaded so many comments on the post I lost count.

But before we get to that, here are the 19 that could not be #1 this year but tried.

So here we go, starting with number 20.

#20 Rush Limbaugh Mentions Me On The Air.

This goes into the “Wow that’s kind of cool category.”  Today Rush Limbaugh mentioned me by name.  I didn’t hear it but Skip called me from the road, and he was pretty darn excited for me.

#19 Stupid women

Ms. (Wendy) Davis and hundreds of thousands of hundreds of thousands of other women can freely exercise, without Big Government getting in their undergarmets, the choice to be more careful while having sex in order to prevent becoming pregnant in the first place.

#18 Hey! Dufus! Why the Hell Aren’t You Covering “This!?”

It is now (apparently) en vogue to email the proprietors of other web sites to ask them why they are not covering a particular issue to someone else’s satisfaction, and to then insult them in the process for not having done it even if they have.

#17 Humor with a lesson: Where would you rather be: California or Texas?

CALIFORNIA:  The Governor of California is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out and attacks the Governor’s dog, then bites the Governor.

#16  Stella Tremblay Already Proven Right – Sort of…

Tremblay, who bless her heart refuses to back down despite being badgered by the left over her own personal concerns about US government sponsored domestic terrorism with regard to the Boston Marathon bombing, was–to some degree at least–correct.

#15   Carol Shea-RUNAWAY!

Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter continues to endear herself to her constituents by running away from questions she has not been taught how to answer.

#14  Annie McKluster Doesn’t Pay Her Taxes? [Updated & Bumped]

The New Hampshire Young Republicans (NHYR) want to know why Congress-critter Ann McLane Kuster (I prefer McKluster) is worth an estimated $1.8 million dollars but can’t manage to pay her property taxes?

#13   We have never lived in a “Constitutional Republic”.

During the founding years our forefathers ascribed to the notion that in order for the country to prosper and succeed, those who would engage and participate would have, “skin in the game” Property was not hard to come by and the founders feared that those on the public dole would be detrimental to the nation’s prosperity…that they few would carry the burden of the many.

#12   GrokTALK! 12-14-2013 With JR Hoell, Mike Ball, and Marilinda Garcia

This week our guests are NH Republican House Rep and candidate for the New Hampshire second Congressional district, Marilinda Garcia; former NH House Rep and Manchester Republican Committee chair, and former New England Radio talk show host Mike Ball: and NH House Legislator JR Hoell joins us to talk gun rights and the ‘Brown’ RINO.

#11   Do NH Democrats Want To Pass A Law Like This One In Germany?

These people just wanted to be left alone to raise their kids and teach them at home.  The modern German government said screw you, you have to send your whelps to the government-run propaganda mill or else.  Now doesn’t that sound familiar?  Who else, for years and years, has tried to make Home-Schooling as difficult as possible (or impossible) in New Hampshire?

#10 The Spiral Begins – Competitive Devaluation, AKA Currency Wars

The world’s biggest banks on Monday begged the Group of 20 economic powers to work together to avoid a clash of currencies, further evidence that fear of an impending “currency war” (i.e. competitive devaluation) is not merely something dreamed up by “wingnut” circles.

#9   Live Blogging – from the NH GOP Annual Meeting

Back on the road tomorrow at the NH GOP meeting at the Bedford High School – schlepping all the equipment and hoping to be able to live stream from there and talk to interesting people.  And yes, Groksters get to vote as well – new by-laws and new officers.

#8   You Can’t Hunt With That!

The Remington R-15…Chambered in “30 RAR(introduced in 2009)” Designed for…yes…well…”Hunting….”

#7   Newtown Massacre: A Canadian Viewpoint

I was just about to publish my latest editorial as promised, on Canada’s Supreme Court Decision to suspend Freedom of Speech, in favor of promoting one language over all others THEN THE CONNECTICUT SCHOOL SHOOTING HAPPENED Next to language issues in Canada, and a failed Judicial System in both of our countries, what happened in Connecticut takes precedence.  I won’t waste words describing my feelings…

#6   Democrat Terie Norelli Brings Civility To the New Hampshire House?

“What we can do is make the environment here so unwelcoming that some will choose not to come, and some may actually leave.  One way is to pass measures that will restrict freedoms that they think they will find here.” — NH Dem. Cynthia Chase

#5   Scumbag Piers Morgan At It Again!

That Wanker Piers Morgan is at it again. He berates Sheriff Clarke. Clearly, Piers again injects a disarmed UK paradigm on American Citizens…Is there nobody that can put this arse in his place? Knock him off that high horse. Sick of this guy! He should go back tot he UK.

#4   Gun Grabbers Tracking Gun Owners With New Android App

A new Android app asks users to expose the home addresses of gun owners they deem “potentially unsafe” — and share that information with the world. … The app invites users to mark the homes and businesses of “suspected unsafe gun owners … to help others in the area learn about their geography of risk from gun accidents or violence.”

#3   Still Waiting for Every Democrat In New Hampshire To Condemn Her Remarks

Democrat House Rep (Former Merr-09) Eileen Spratt Ehlers, active in the party don’t you know, is referring to the very lovely bride of Republican Rep Al Baldasaro.  And it is a compound insult of epic proportion.  The remark is about a woman, a family member of a New Hampshire politician, it insults what she is wearing, is ageist, sexist, and questions her qualifications for wearing white.

#2   Did NH Democrats Encourage Erica Lafferty to Crash Kelly Ayotte’s NH Town Hall?

Who in the New Hampshire Democrat party reached out to Erica Lafferty–the daughter of slain Sandy Hook Elementary School principal Dawn Hochsprung–to encourage her to leave her own state, which has all kinds of background checks for gun purchases that did no good at all, to come to New Hampshire and lean on our State Senator?

#1   Democrat Civility Infects NHGOP – Sharleene Hurst Loses It – TWICE!

Upon entering the Bedford High School Lobby this morning, Sharleene Hurst immediately accosted Diane Bitter and started screaming. Bystanders separated them, but one little display of “Democrat Civility” wasn’t enough for erstwhile State Rep Sharleene Hurst. Nooooo….
