At Congressman Steve King’s Conservative Principles Conference on Saturday, Grokster Mike and Brit reporter Chris made the acquaintance of Craig Robinson, Editor in Chief of "The Iowa Republican" (TIR), who was reporting on the show, acting as a panelist, and conducting a straw poll for first and second place presidential choices. They have a great website, and I encourage you to check out what Republicans in Iowa are reading, but my interest was piqued by the tremendous showing made by Herman Cain in their straw poll – not just good, but Grrreatt!!
The editors at TIR voted Herman’s speech Best speech so far in the 2012 race, in fact they said: "Let me make myself clear… Herman Cain’s speech at Steve King’s Conservative Principles Conference was the best speech by anyone in the presidential race thus far. Meanwhile, over at C-SPAN, Herman Cain’s speech had easily outpaced the others for most views, in spite of being near the bottom of their webpage. In my view, this counts an unofficial popularity poll, with these figures as of 11pm Tuesday…
Perhaps most interesting is the fact that Betsy McCaughey’s presentation on the evils of the Obamacare law and the fight to overturn it is running ahead of all the presidential contender speeches except Herman’s
