Hour 1              Hour 2

Hour One:

Roland "Books, not Bricks" Mahue returned to the show to make the pitch for votes – he’s running for the School Board in Laconia, NH.  His emphasis is not on new buildings – it is educational materials and curriculum to solve Laconia’s educational woes at the High School.  As we did last time, we also generalized this "all politics is local" such that it fits pretty much everywhere.

While there are some aspects to the race that are quite local, the local twist is that it seems a "School Board power grab by taking over the City Council" is in session – something that Roland is fighting against. Why, you might ask?  While Laconia has a tax cap, an override by City Councilors can "break the cap" and the School Board wants ANOTHER new school (they JUST completed a replacement for the middle school) to replace the High School. Breaking the cap allows them to build the new school.   Part 1   Part 2

Andy Sanborn of Concord comes in to talk about his participation in last week’s Tax Summit and how the Democrats in Concord are making it harder for small businesses to survive and thrive by increasing regulations, the biz’s costs to comply, and all the taxes required by all levels of government (especially the State).  Part 1   Part 2

Hour Two:

We continue with Andy:  Part 3   Part 4

Lynne Blankenbeker joins us by phone as she continues her canvassing in Concord as she seeks to be the next NH House Rep in her district (she is running against a RINO who finally switched to his natural party – the ‘Grok says "good riddance").  That said, the Democrats have only themselves to blame if she wins – their votes to repeal NH’s Parental Notification law riled this nurse / lawyer / veteran / Reservist so that she decided to teach them a lesson!  For a Conservative, what’s not to like:

  1. Against Big Government
  2. Does not support an Income Tax or a Sales Tax.
  3. Would like to see local control of education.
  4. Against a National Healthcare Plan.
  5. Does not support a seat belt or helmet law.
  6. Opposes the current NH law that allows minors to have abortions without parental notification.
  7. Pro Small Business
  8. Supports the State’s right to govern itself as enumerated in the Constitution.
  9. Dedicated to Veteran’s issues

If you live in her District, please vote for Lynne!  My words not enough?  Take a listen:    Part 1   Part 2
