“The fools that legislate our rights away”

Yes, I belong to the Republican Party, but I still consider myself a Conservative first.  It is rapidly coming true, however, that being a Republican may drop to being third on the list, with "Tea Party sympathizer" rising to number two.

Pretty much most of the Democrats (but joined by many Republicans) are Statists:  they believe that Government is the answer and that it should be solving peoples’ problems.  Listen to the video (it is rather well done) and ask yourself:

Where in the Constitution is it written that OUR Government was supposed to be that?  If Government is solving individual problems for its people, has it not strayed from its original purpose?  It’s main role was to protect our individual liberties and not infringe upon them for either the sake of the environment or the security to be free from the responsibilities of life?

Freedom and responsibility go hand in hand; remove us from the latter (or let others handle it for you) and surely, we will no longer have freedom.

In the meantime, ask yourself this question – why do I keep voting people into office that pass legislation that:

  • they either haven’t read
  • impinges on both our freedoms and responsibilities word by word by word

Ask yourself – am I even awake to any of this?
