The occasion for CNN to be in the area was the appearance of John McCain right here in GraniteGrok’s hometown, Gilford, NH., which I will report on in subsequent posts. What happened is several weeks back, the CNN people contacted us about the "Moms of Fury" video we made and placed on YouTube. The producers said they were looking at several stories, one, about people that still support the war, and, another- the purpose of today’s interview – what conservatives are thinking about the illegal immigration topic, and its effect on John McCain. We are quite pleased that the CNN folks believe that the views presented here at the ‘Grok are in some way noteworthy. That’s why we’re here!

We’ll give more details on this and the whole McCain event as time permits. Thanks to the CNN producer, Sasha, we have been granted media credentials to the debates and will be liveblogging from the Republican showdown this evening. If all goes according to plan, Skip will be at Giuliani headquarters doing the same.
