Omar Ahmad, the long-serving chairman of CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, reportedly told a crowd of California Muslims in July 1998,
“Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran … should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth.”
We are a pluralistic society – our great strength is our tolerance for those that wish to worship (or not) in ways that differ from ours and that have different thoughts as to how to live their lives.
Make no mistake, if the Koran becomes highest authority in America, that will mean that our laws, our traditions, and our society will cease to exist.
Remember, Islam is not just a religion as we know religions to be in the West. This is an all encompasssing religion / legal system / political system / way of life environment. If you are a Muslim, that’s fine as long as you do not force it, the ramifications thereof, or what it entails, on me, my family, or my friends.
