Public Perception Of Cops Today

“There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors of perception.Aldous Huxley

Police-SwatPublic perception of the police is constantly challenged. Being a police officer has never been a tougher profession. The Bureau of Justice Statistics is replete with data on police officer divorce, alcoholism and other social problems. Being a cop today is not like being a cop 20 years ago. There were no online news outlets, the 24-hour news cycle or bloggers. And the manner in which news, events or stories are reported impact public perception in a very big way.

EPIC RINO Of The Week

“‘Best friends’ contains 11 letters…but so does Backstabber.” —unknown Some actions bear no words to aptly describe the course of events.  In this particular case, Representative Shawn Jasper, in his quest for personal power, enlisted the Democratic caucus to elect himself speaker of the house.

Rockingham County Attorney Elect Is A Bum

Bums: “Ethics and equity and the principles of justice do not change with the calendar.” D. H. Lawrence

Hack Bum
Rockingham County Attorney-elect Pat Conway

County Attorney Elect Patricia Conway is a bum. Conway has no self control. Patricia Conway is as unfit to hold her office. As much as it was believed that James Reames was unfit to hold the office. Patricia Conway’s first act as county attorney was to serve her own personal whims of retribution. Conway’s Police-Officer-husband, Eric Lamb, a card-carrying member of the Rockingham County Laurie List, was “mistakenly” cleared from the list. It was Blanchard who tipped off the Attorney Generals office such was not the case.  Lamb belonged on this list. Conway denies having access to the list. She is a bum.

In her first official act of firing Jerome Blanchard, Conway sent a clear message that gives form to how she intends to run the County Attorney’s office. Conway will run it like a hack and a Bum. With one single momentary act of visceral retribution, Conway has undermined the Office.  A Hack- Bum will do that. With the cloud swirling around that office over recent events of Jim Reames’ tenure,  It was the workhorses like Blanchard who righted the ship. Blanchard helped citizens not lose faith. Yes, Indeed…he was that awesome.

Harry Reid’s Nuclear Option

“The first filibuster of the year, and may be the last.” —Harry Mason Reid

Harry Reid and the Nuclear Option
“The message from voters is clear: they want us to work together. I look forward to working with Senator McConnell to get things done for the middle class.” -So says Harry Reid

The “Nuclear Option. One year ago this month, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid pushed through his “nuclear option”…Reid changed a Senate rule that would make Obama  nominees easier for a Democratically-controlled Senate to approve. Republicans ability to filibuster would be sharply curtailed under the new rule.  The rule change reduced the current threshold of 60 votes to 51 votes for the Senate to approve executive and judicial nominees of the Obama Administration.

Republican opposition was unanimous and three Democrats joined the GOP to oppose the rule change.Senators Pryor of Arkansas, Manchin of West

Scott Brown’s Bay State Push

“Do I have the best credentials? Probably not. ’Cause, you know, whatever. But I do have strong ties to this state.” —Scott Brown

Scott_Browns-Zombies-Campaign2I have listened to Howie’s Carr’s show in excess of 20 years and I’ve even called in a couple times. Howie is an icon and has an excellent show. He has a great take on Bay State Politics. Granite State Politics? Not so much.

Moms Demand Action SWATting You Today

“Birds of a lawless, bigoted feather bully together.”—Michelle Malkin

moms-demand-action spanking“Swatting,” is the act of engaging public emergency services with information that evokes a response consistent with a critical incident, such as a burglary in progress or a gunman in a public place.  Swatting is a hoax. Its a prank…and it is also, illegal.

Moms Demand Action now advocates for Swatting. Well, let me clarify….No, they have not made a formal call to action. But their minions and followers, when seeing a person #opencarrying in public,  have openly advocated

Gun Control Editorials Are Boring and Stupid

Stupid. Well, first, Boring and then Stupid. The question that challenges me most, however is where to begin? Our Esteemed Grok Chief, Skip Murphy brought you all, in a “WTF Moment,” the plight, or should I say,  “historically challenged plight” of fledgling journalist, blogger, ergo Kool-Aid Slurper Kasie Strickland who wrote, No one is coming for your guns…Yet Skip covered the particulars quite well so there is no need for me to relitigate the boredom and the stupidity.

But that whole historical factoid thingy bears reiteration. Ergo, a “neo-transliteration…”(still laughing)

Scott Brown’s Specious NRA Rating

“People never lie so much as after a hunt, during a war or before an election.”   —Otto von Bismarck And not too long ago, after this video was made, Scott Brown went to Rindge New Hampshire and made that same bold statement. About Those “Teabaggers,” Uncle Wally Havenstein

“If I decide to be an idiot, then I’ll be an idiot on my own accord.” — Johann Sebastian Bach By now, the internet is rife with definitions of the, “tea-bagger.” Presently, when the pejorative term, “teabagger,” is used, the term comes from the mouth…attached to the face…attached to the body…of a person who objects … Read more

Anatomy Of The Gun Ban

“A woman who demands further gun control legislation is like a chicken who roots for Colonel Sanders.” —Larry Elder

Oh_No_Guns_WhiteThere is never a time when gun-banning liberals cease to work to completely and totally remove firearms from our society…That is, to completely remove from law-abiding citizens the right to have and own firearms. On February 25, 1995 Senator Diane Feinstein told 60 Minutes, “If I could have banned them all – ‘Mr. and Mrs. America turn in your guns’ – I would have!”

“Who needs Machine guns anyway? There is no practical purpose for Machine Guns,” say those who fancy themselves as a moderate and

The Havenstein-Brown Problem

“Carpetbagging—presumptuously seeking success or a position in a new locality; A politician who seeks public office in a locality where he has no real connections.” —Dictionary

Carpet-Bagger-001Carpet Baggers. This is a term now frequently connected to discourse about Walter Havenstein and Former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown. Havenstein, touted as a successful businessman, was scrutinized over his residency issues, while Brown was far more obvious as the former bay State Senator who took the late Ted Kennedy’s seat in a special election, then lost to Elizabeth Warren.

“Mass-hole” illegal democratic voter Lorin C. Schneider Jr: The face of vote fraud.

Remember Lorin C. Schneider Jr. of Carver, Massachusetts? Schneider plead guilty to voting illegally in New Hampshire. “Trunk Monkey” Schneider, the court found,  was not legally qualified to vote in New Hampshire, but did so three times since 2008. Schneider  received a prison sentence of one to three years, however he will spend no time behind bars as the court saw fit to  suspend the imposition of that sentence

Golf Is More Dangerous Than Hunting

Shut Out By A Bloomburglar?

“People do not wish to appear foolish; to avoid the appearance of foolishness, they are willing to remain actually fools.” —Alice Walker

ScottBrown_BlowhardLast night, I went to Concord to the Holiday Inn for the Gun Owners of New Hampshire monthly meeting to challenge Scott Brown on his Second Amendment Positions. Just to be clear, I was personally invited by GONH President Mitch Kopacz. Upon my arrival, however, I,  along with Granite Grok’s Skip Murphy, was corralled by some unknown handler and asked to leave the property. This individual would not identify himself, other than as, “Hotel Management.”  He would not answer any of the questions I asked, and was rude. So I was summarily kicked to the curb…the leader of one of New Hampshire’s largest Fish & Game Club’s…and a GONH affiliate.

I supposed I could have said, “You know who I am?” But honestly, I find people like that bellicose and obnoxious, and  I stop listening when I hear that. Those who know me, also know my silence is far more concerning because it indicates I am thinking about what I am going to do in response. Hence this post.
