I wasn’t one of them, but I’ve known my share of sporty kids. Up early, lots of practice, time after school, and traveling to games or meets. It’s a considerable commitment wasted when a boy who isn’t even very good at the sport decides he’s a girl and beats them all handily.
If you were wondering how serious Florida was about protecting girls’ and women’s sports, this might be your answer. Monarch High School has been put on Administrative probation and fined 16,500.00 for allowing a boy to play on a girl’s volleyball team.
Men have an inherent biological advantage when it comes to athletics. Given equal time and training, most women can’t compete. Those who think Title IX empowers girls and women through sport believe that letting men compete as women undermine that. And now, 18 states agree with us.
Tennessee passed a law in March that requires students to participate in school sports based on sex, not gender identity. SB1861 creates a disincentive for schools to ignore that requirement.
Title IX was created so that “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.” The Bidenistas have other ideas.
