California is being run (into the ground) by leftists. One of their many ridiculous schemes was to decriminalize petty theft. Keep nonviolent offenders out of jail. They raised the amount for a felony charge for theft and guess what. Retail theft is rising.
The Democratic bizzaro world is full of contradictions because it is the natural state. To them, it makes sense when we get results exactly opposite of those advertised. Law and order mean chaos. Prosperity means poverty; transparency means obstruction; unity means division; education creates ignorance; and equity means inequality.
Last September, we reported on a class action lawsuit filed by a handful of Democrat-run warzones (doing business as cities) that blamed rising car thefts on automakers whose vehicles are easier to steal. Isn’t that like saying it’s okay to punch someone because they look like they won’t punch back?
Over the summer, Target made a show of pulling back its controversial Transgender collection. They claimed it was to protect worker and customer safety. That was a cover story to hide a marketing stumble, but Target still has safety concerns, forcing it to close nine stores.
Amazon can be #woke, so it was amusing when it got crap for launching a unique retail experience. Cashless stores were racist or something. But the online giant persisted until recently. Amazon has announced it is closing some of these stores.
