Joe Sweeney, as chair of the New Hampshire Young Republicans, has a seat on the New Hampshire Republican State Party Executive Committee (EC). Less than a week ago the NHGOP hired him as deputy Political director. The NHGOP By-Laws prohibit voting members of the Executive Council from being on salary except for the State Party Chairman.

In the make-believe, fairy-tale world that people like Joe Sweeney, Ross Berry, Mikey Graham, Drew Cline, the Koch-bots, and the libertarians (an incomplete list) espouse, Big Business ALWAYS acts in their financial self-interest, which ultimately benefits everyone. EXCEPT Big Business does NOT act in such a manner.
Here is a good one: Ross Berry criticizes union leadership on X for not representing union workers. The irony apparently escapes Berry. Berry and his fellow Republican “leaders,” Jason Osborne, Joe Sweeney, etc., do NOT represent Republicans.

Apparently, according to NHGOP “leaders” in the House, the most important issue facing New Hampshire is that there is just not enough urban density. There is a simple solution … Ross Berry, Joe Sweeney, and anyone else who wants to see (and I mean literally see) more apartment complexes can move to Massachusetts.
We learned that it took from 10 am until 8 pm, with an hour break for lunch, to get through 44 bills, their amendments, and all the various motions. It was a very long day, but we got some good work accomplished. I won’t go through everything, but let’s review some highlights.
We learned that we had a full day with 52 House bills on the agenda but didn’t get through all of them. As the hour got late, we saved 10 for next week. We also learned that when Republicans show up, they stop bad bills from advancing and move good bills forward. Read more below.
Today, New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu announced he would not seek the Republican nomination for President. I guess he looked at the polling and discovered that he’d reached his ceiling on electability (but won’t admit it). It’s a lesson he should have learned from not running for the US Senate.
