During her farewell speech as Governor of Alaska, Palin thanked the troops who are willing to risk everything to protect our freedoms, and suggested that, in honor of those troops defending freedom of the press, they should “Quit making’ things up!”
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin endorsed Donald Trump for President yesterday and the usual crowd again proclaimed, “big deal.”
I asked myself why she might needlessly jump into a primary where she knows and is friendly with several of the combatants.
Very little of what I heard Rush Limbaugh refer to is easily found on line by these two thumbs but I did find this series of quotes.
Trump Teases Mystery Guest Tonight – Media Speculates Palin Endorsement
Will Palin go for the anti-DC populist, or the conservative purist? She has endorsed Cruz in the past.
A Cruz spokesman thinks it would be a mistake for Palin to endorse The Donald (Breitbart), but, hey, “Going Rogue” is her trademark 😉
Will Palin endorse today, or is The Donald courting extra publicity?
Will (Cruz Spokesman) Rick Tyler wish he’d kept quiet?
This could be “Yuge!”
From Newsbusters comes this:
Gasp! MSNBC Panelist Says Hillary Should Emulate Palin’s Authenticity
It took nearly seven years, but at long last it’s finally been heard — praise for Sarah Palin on MSNBC.
Even better, one of the people praising Palin — and there were three, count ’em, three libs on the Lean Leftward cable network today doing so — suggested that flailing Democrat Hillary Clinton could do worse than to look toward Palin as a political model to emulate.
The post is ga-ga over that someone from the uber-Left media finally said something nice about Sarah Palin. I think they missed the important point about the Left itself.
The president doesn’t trust you and he doesn’t trust us. He doesn’t trust Americans to even change our own light bulb of our own choosing. And yet he’ll trust a death cult.”
-Sarah Palin, former governor of Alaska
Bonus from Breitbart:
“So as Obama leads from behind the skirt of his right-hand man, Valerie Jarrett, then it’s up to Congress to close that window.
Tsk, tsk, tsk – did Sarah just cross over the Politically-Correct-derogatory red line of NH GOP Chair Jennifer Horn? Or will that “grrlll solidarity” kick in, eh?
A bill about a bird makes national news because it was proposed by fourth graders who were in the NH House chamber when it was killed. (The Bill, not the bird.) But it wasn’t just that it got voted down it was the testimony against it. The story went national but we’ve got a rep from the district with an inside perspective. That plus GOP Messaging problems, Right To work, and Sarah Palin – a poster of her that is, hauled back from CPAC to adorn the studio wall. Oh, and we talk about the Republican gas tax too.

“It’s not just the New England Patriots who are dealing with deflated balls right now.“
The context after the jump – and there’s more than a few folk that agree with it
Democrats stumbled in to 2015, tripping over their own hypocrisy and landing flat on their collectivist faces. Locally, the party that adored high-ranking Democrats from within the Ku Klux Klan demanded that a New Hampshire Congressman call for the resignation of a guy from Louisiana who briefly spoke at a hotel where White Supremacists would later gather — twelve years ago.
A bit less historically distant, PETA and the professional liars on the left (The Democrat party) blasted Sarah Palin for posting a picture of her son Trig using the Dog as a step stool. The Dog clearly did not care, but the left did. The Palin’s were horrible parents, blah blah blah. The left and PETA cared so much they forgot that PETA’s woman of the Year, Ellen DeGeneres, posted a similar picture to oohs and ahh’s from the ranks of the Obama-Loving Palin haters.
Palin’s response to it all? ‘Chill. At least Trig didn’t eat the dog. ‘
Copied in its entirety (reformatted, emphasis mine):
ACHIEVER OF THE YEAR: Sarah Palin?
For all her detractors’ cries of “irrelevance” and “she’s just a reality show entertainer” (those two being among the nicer epithets), Palin goes on, election cycle after election cycle, populating Congress with her endorsed candidates in a cost-effective manner, and in such numbers that the likes of Karl Rove with his 1% success rate can surely view only with hidden admiration, if not downright envy. In what is perhaps the most interesting aspect of Palin’s year of achievement, in instance after instance where Palin was ridiculed for a straightforward statement (e.g., “death panels” or the true history of Paul Revere), her most strident critics have agreed, in whole or in part, with her views. But 2014 saw the most impressive of this historical revisionism. Continue reading
Van Jones (self-admitted Communist and Greenie (but I repeat myself)): Best convention speech ever! So they knew, right then and there, that the current best sword in the Democrat war armory was to demonize and ridicule her non-stop (RE: Alinksy’s Rules for Radicals #5) which they did most effectively and really, the first national roll-out of the New Left captured Democrat Party new tactic which continues to today (re: “extremest”, “TEA Party” and here in NH, “Free Staters”). But here, Jones actually praises Palin:
Sarah Palin .. people forget. She had the Democratic party shaking in our boots in 2008. She came out, she gave that speech at the convention. That was, hands down, one of the best convention speeches – not by a woman, by anybody in 2008. People were running for the hills.
“Now it can be told! Now it can be told! We were scared!”
Unfortunately, the Elite in the GOP got snookered in as well and followed the Democrat Party lead – but it is why the grassroots still hold her in high esteem as they heard and saw differently. She believes in our values while it seems so often, that the GOP and Democrat Elite are much closer (re: Kelly Ayotte’s proclamations that Amnesty for illegal aliens is goodness).
Why are liberals so afraid of conservative women?
“Now, I’m no reflexive Palin-defender, …But more than anything … I’m struck by how she causes people with progressive tendencies to lose their ever-living minds.“
I’m honestly wondering why, though. Why are we such a threat? Is it the power of our non-barren wombs? Is it the power that comes with not accepting progressive politics of constant victimization? Are women only really acceptable to liberal elites if we’re constantly trying to be just like men? Is it our understanding of guns? (A friend noted in response to Goldberg’s odd comment that of course that picture isn’t reminiscent of Sarah Palin since “Palin knowsthe third rule of gun safety.”) Is it the confidence we exude as faithful women?
Mollie Hemingway – The Federalist: Remarking on Palin Derangement Syndrome
PDS is real.
Of all the places I never thought to be mentioned, HBO’s True Blood vampire show would have to be near the top of the list. Sunday night, they aired a misogynist and profanity-ridden episode where Texas Republicans are murdered attending a “Ted Cruz fundraiser.
Well, I’m sorry to have lost the vampire vote, but am astonished (and amused) that HBO is suggesting that hard-core leftists are blood-sucking fiends..

Breaking: Wild chants of “Run, Sarah, Run!” Erupted at CPAC this afternoon:
Invokes conservative greats and women leaders, like Thatcher.
Reminds the GOP Establishment that “You didn’t build that” 2010 electoral victory – the TEA Party did!
Is it still Obama’s National Security Team if it meets and Obama is never there?
Great question, because they met to talk about the situation with Russia and the Ukraine and Obama was too busy to attend. But don’t worry. According to “sources” he has been briefed by Susan ” it was a YouTube Video” Rice, and oh–the Russian Millitary has ‘Officially’ Seized the Crimea. (see also..)
There’s a voting present joke in here someplace.
And the left’s ears must be bleeding… Sarah Palin was right.
Yes, I could see this one from Alaska. I’m usually not one to Told-Ya-So, but I did, despite my accurate prediction being derided as “an extremely far-fetched scenario” by the “high-brow” Foreign Policy magazine. Here’s what this “stupid” “insipid woman” predicted back in 2008: “After the Russian Army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama’s reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence, the kind of response that would only encourage Russia’s Putin to invade Ukraine next.”

Updated on the jump
I just don’t understand how the IOC decided to add this one final event to the Winter Olympics – nation invading! Or was it that have the attention of the world focused on Sochi just wasn’t big enough for Putin? Today we are seeing that Russian Spetsnatz and other troops coptered / jetted into the Crimea as the Ukraine was throwing off Putin’s puppet.
During the 2008 election, Sarah Palin was roundly criticized by the Left for this:
“After the Russian Army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama’s reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence, the kind of response that would only encourage Russia’s Putin to invade Ukraine next,” Palin told Foreign Policy in 2008, “
And reminded people of it again:
“Yes, I could see this one from Alaska. I’m usually not one to Told-Ya-So, but I did, despite my accurate prediction being derided as ‘an extremely far-fetched scenario’ by the ‘high-brow’ Foreign Policy magazine,” she wrote. “Here’s what this ‘stupid’ ‘insipid woman’ predicted back in 2008.”
And again in 2012 during the Presidential Debate, Romney knew what was right – and Obama was wrong. This is what the New York Times had back then: Continue reading
And let’s face facts. Adding “Dumb” before “Cher” would be redundant
Lib Cartoonist: Sarah Palin was Right (sort of)!
Palin, along with other commenters, remarked that the epic failure of the Government run Healthcare rollout seems intentional and is designed to get us to single-payer, which was the plan all along. Liberal Cartoonist Ted Rall, writing at the Daily KoS of all places, has unkind words for the Obama Administration, and kudos to Palin and company for other reasons – He argues that Obama and Company are all idiots (something we on the right have been saying that for years).
Rall adds his own take on the excuses used to dismiss the disastrous roll out.
If Team Obama had been plotting Canadian-style socialized medicine all along, they wouldn’t have floated all those dumb “heckuva job, Barry”-style excuses that turned healthcare.gov into the president’s Katrina moment:
• Too much volume. But corporate websites routinely handle more than the ACA sites. Besides, the feds knew that, in a nation with tens of millions of uninsured people, tens of millions of people were going to check out the website. The truth, as any idiot could plainly see, was that volume wasn’t the issue. Lousy coding was. Continue reading
Obamacare, actually, Democratcare, is on the ropes with the American people and it is what I like to call a “two-fer.”
SomeRrepublicans who remember why they were sent to Sodom and D.C have initiated an effort, and evolving effort, to kill Democratcare any way they can.
That is wonderful, refreshing, and about time.
The other fun part is now that Senator Cruz and Senator Lee have begun this effort there will have to be some sort of defining moment for the socialists and cowards in the Senate. That moment will be a recorded vote.
Oh please let it happen.
Ok, I was wrong about the two-fer, it’s a three-fer.
Chris Wallace has possibly ended his journalism career if he does not name the low life Republican staffers who sent dirt about opponents of Democratcare to his silly show on Fox.
Sarah Palin smoked Wallace out – as she has many phonies in the past. She is calling for Wallace to name names!!
Why can’t liberals stop giving Sarah Palin the club to beat them with? I do not know.
But it sure is fun to watch.
…such that the whole world can see it too
On Obama’s hellbent intentions of using “his” military (“Now, I have not made a final decision about various actions that might be taken to help enforce that norm,” Obama said. “But as I’ve already said, I have had my military and our team look at a wide range of options.” – since when was a decision made to make it HIS military versus the country’s? ):
“So we’re bombing Syria because Syria is bombing Syria? And I’m the idiot?“
Obama right now, is whiffing. His vaunted “redlines” have been shown to have been drawn in chalk – and it is raining. So with today’s pronouncement that Obama IS going to wait for Congress to authorize military action (if there is to be any to “punish” Assad), he knows he’s going to get yet another free Political Pass of Voting Present – lots of sturm und drang, a flurry of fiery finesse, and in the end – a do nothing.
The latter, Trust, unless built upon blind faith (another topic), is only possible if there is a proven history in word and deed of Consistency. I’ve been writing about this symbiosis and dependence between these two ideas for a while and we had a bit (just a wee bit) of a back and forth on this. I think that, too often, the Republican Party just doesn’t get it – that the Politicians (and Politicians in waiting and the Operatives behind the Politicians) have forgotten what their Base wants (er, at least this part of the Base) in their hellbent race to do what they think is the ONLY important thing on the docket – WIN. We all know that, understand that is a prereq, but for US, it is ONLY a prereq: what do you do afterwards.
After the November election, the GOP was all afflutter with “what went wrong” and have spent MILLIONS and millions of man-hours. I can tell you, easy peasy, what has gone wrong:
- You didn’t give people a reason to vote FOR the Party
- Worse, the base that sat on their hands decided that they can’t trust you to do what you said you’d do.
Number 2 is more important than Number 1. Case in point – Obamacare. They haven’t repealed it (though they campaigned on doing so), they won’t defund it, and given Obama’s flagrant lawlessness with respect to the actual Obamacare authorizing legislation, they won’t impeach. In short, they don’t stand up for their promises and they don’t stand up for the Principles they say they “live by”. In short, when there is no Consistency between Principles, Words, and Deeds (legislative votes), there is no Trust. And without Trust, they lose the Base – and lose the election. This is not rocket science – why vote for people that won’t do what they say?
Case in point – another (short) email exchange:
Michael Ramirez – Townhall.com
Glenn Foden – Townhall.com
Meanwhile, over at Breitbart.com:
“Americans are smarter than the lamestream media give them credit,” Palin said, noting regular Americans are figuring out the “hypocrisies” and “lies” coming from the Obama administration by doing their own homework.
…this just in from a member of the NH state House of Representatives (who shall remain unnamed, thankyouverymuch); s/he responded to my posting about third party musings by Palin (see the post below):
Tim, I agree with you. I am a conservative more than a Republican. However…
I’m a Republican through-and-thr0ugh, so I don’t endorse the idea. In fact, it could ensure endless Democrat electoral victories…but I’m wondering what everyone else thinks. At 3:55 in the video below Sarah Palin reflects on what might happen if the Republican Party “continues to ignore conservatives”; what do you think?
Don’t anger the Mama Grizzly!
Three years ago, Sarah Palin backed Ayotte in the Senate primary, splitting the Tea Party vote in the primary, helping her beat Ovide LaMontagne, and go on to become Senator. Even called Kelly a “Granite Grizzly” for her strong words of commonsense regarding immigration and other conservative hot buttons.
What a difference a couple of years of Washington co-option make! Not only has Ayotte fallen in with the McCain-Graham progressive axis, but she has earned the title from Chuck-you Schumer of “Our Republican” – Not a position you’d really want to be in if you realize that any time Chuckie is smiling, conservatives are getting screwed!
Palin’s quotes, Chuck Asay’s cartoon, and I have a few things to say on the topic!
…Punch back twice as hard. Andrew Breitbart taught us that. Sarah Palin has demonstrated it. This from Breitbart’s Big Government page, an essay entitled “Why Andrew Breitbart Walked into the Fire with Sarah Palin”:
But…but…we were so assured by the government-media complex that this former Alaska governor was lying—lying!—about death panels….
Heh. I have written in the past about how the foundation of socialism—all statist political philosophy, in fact—is based upon lies. They promise wealth but deliver poverty. They promise equality but deliver a government overlord class of wealth and power. They promise justice…
