Here are some quick thoughts on Tuesday’s (2/13) special election in New York: Maybe Republican voters were happy with George Santos and NOT happy that the GOP thinks that it can and should decide who may or may not represent them.
A New York statute targeting Chick-fil-A for its Christian faith turns American history—and Constitutional law—upside down. The “Rest Stop Restaurant Act” seeks to compel food service providers to stay open seven days a week in publicly-owned rest areas and other facilities, or be denied contracts to provide services.
The goal is to get people to give up their mobility, which coincides both practually and culturally with the idea of freedom—the right to travel without papers anywhere in the nation. But if you want to enter Manhattan, it will cost you a lot more, thanks to a new mobility control plan.
Frau Hocul and New York State’s Public Health Industrial Complex are celebrating a recent court win. A policy of forced quarantine that had been struck down as unconstitutional has been resurrected like some undead beast to feed on Lady Liberty.
New York City is full of Demcorats. Millions of them. The city is also swelling from the influx of illegal border crossers doing business as ‘migrants,’ their word, not mine. The cost of that preferred policy has come home to roost with the progressive chickens, and the stress fractures are evident everywhere.
A little dated … but extremely relevant. Trump claims that Andrew Cuomo was a better COVID-Governor than DeSantis. There are no facts/data to support this claim. Indeed, the facts/data disprove this claim … Florida had a larger and much, older population than New York and when scale is accounted for did better than New York. …

In one of the finest examples of backward thinking Progressivism, the fuel responsible more than anything in the past two decades for lowering American emissions (if you still think that’s a thing we should do) was just banned by NY Democrats.
If British colonials tried to infect native populations by giving them blankets with smallpox, it was never formally attempted in the Americas, and there’s no evidence if tried that it worked. New York State, on the other hand, sent COVID infected into nursing homes.
I wrote earlier about the reaction of Mayors Bowser and Adams of D.C. and New York about the buses of illegal aliens they are receiving compliments of the geographic border states. I say geographic only to distinguish the states we used to associate with our Border with Mexico from the Border States of the Northeast.
The promise of prolonged Democrat rule is a city in a ditch, on fire, with rampant crime and poop-covered streets. The product of decades of bad policy, broken promises, and corruption. But Democrats like ruling over ruin, and they’d do anything to keep it that way.
