The Public Utilities Commission (PUC), which is charged under the Clean Heat Standard (Act 18/S.5) with operating the “carbon credit” system created by the law, is now soliciting ideas for how to fund said operation.
My last article highlighted the fact that the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) is only now beginning to contemplate how to write the rules regarding how Vermonters can retroactively “bank” so-called “Clean Heat Credits” back to January 1, 2023, and continue to bank them until the Clean Heat Standard goes fully into effect sometime in 2025.
Wealthy one-percenters with private jets are miffed that their flight plans and travel are public. Thanks to the internet machine, the comings and goings of the climate cult elite are being shared with people who actually think any of that matters, and the backlash has been beautiful.
New Hampshire is famous for its dedicated funds. Dedicated to whatever the spenders in Concord need when revenues don’t come in as predicted. For the record that’s primarily a Democrat problem but it’s a problem with a purpose.
Jim never explains why, if we have that tax in place to benefit state sponsored efficiency projects, why we signed onto a separate system that adds an additional tax, supervised by an out of state entity, that skims a portion of that “tax” off the top for administrative costs? How does that help everyone in New Hampshire when it diverts some of that so-called benefit away from the state.
