The Gaystapo and the State of Colorado are Harassing Masterpiece Cakeshop Again

The Colorado Civil Rights Commission didn’t just target Masterpiece Cakeshop they were openly hostile to the owners religious beliefs and indifferent to the tenants of his faith. The reuslt was a sweeping rebuke by the U.S. Supreme Court that itemized the sins of the state.

Colorado didn’t care. They’re back, and shop owner Jack Phillips has to sue them to get them off his back.

From the Daily Caller c/o The Federalist Papers,

On the same day the high court agreed to review the Masterpiece case, an attorney named Autumn Scardina called Phillips’ shop and asked him to create a cake celebrating a gender transition. The caller asked that the cake be blue on the outside and pink on the inside. In the months that followed, Phillips received requests for cakes featuring marijuana use, sexually explicit messages, and Satanic symbols.

Phillips believes Scardina made all these requests.

Scardina filed a complaint with the civil rights commission, alleging discrimination on the basis of gender identity. The matter was held in abeyance while the Supreme Court adjudicated the Masterpiece case.

Three weeks after Phillips won at the high court, the commission issued a probable cause determination, finding there was sufficient evidence to support Scardina’s claim of discrimination.

Once again we find a Human/Civil Rights Commission incapable of civility. They exist and must justify that occupation of space through action, even after being neutered by the highest court in the land.

We also see the Gaystapo active in its intolerance towards those who disagree with them, which is annoying on so many levels but we’ll stick to one.  There’s another cake bakery practically across the street from Masterpiece. A google search reveals at least 15 of them all across town, though there may be more.

People who live and die by the idea of hate crimes are targeting a business based on religious belief. By their definition, that is a hate crime. And the so-called Colorado Civil Rights Commission is an accessory to that “crime.”

Alliance Defending Freedom has filed the lawsuit in the name of Jack Phillips.

We’ll have to wait to see how this one turns out.
