In the opening ceremonies, Andrew Cernota gave the invocation, Jane Cormier led the National Anthem, and Terri Negron stepped up to lead the Pledge of Allegiance (Rep Don LeBrun being unable to attend). In the candidate statements, Jeanine Notter presented the case for Rep Dick Hinch as Speaker, then Stewart Levenson and Steve Negron presented their cases to represent CD2.
