Let Them Eat Crumbs!

We are hiringCNBC is reporting that jobless claims have hit a 48-year low (which for the math challenged includes the years when Obama was President).

Initial claims for state unemployment benefits were unchanged at a seasonally adjusted 211,000 for the week ended May 5, the Labor Department said on Thursday. Claims dropped to 209,000 during the week ended April 21, which was the lowest level since December 1969.

There are more jobs than skilled labor, by many estimates. Hey, maybe some of those able-bodied folks on Medicaid Expansion will look for work before January 2019 when the NH Waiver makes it mandatory?

And another finger in the Trump haters eye.

The claims report also showed the number of people receiving benefits after an initial week of aid rose 30,000 to 1.79 million in the week ended April 28. The four-week moving average of the so-called continuing claims dropped 22,000 to 1.81 million, the lowest level since December 1973.

I guess that tax cut thingy is working. The deregulation. The taking of the (EPA, IRS, Etc.) boot off the neck of job creators™ and working families™.

Too bad New Hampshire’s all-gurl Democrat delegation voted against it. And they didn’t just vote against it they bad mouthed it, belittled it, and sneered at the pittance. But supporting something like that would look good on the resume heading into an election year, right?

By the way, have you noticed that the media and the Democrats have suddenly decided that rising gas prices are bad for American’s pocketbooks?

It’s eating away at the crumbs!

And it is, but the point (at least in this post) is not reality but the progressive response to it. Here’s an example from a post a few years back that explains it. The same rules apply to Trump whether its gas or jobs or foreign policy or his First Lady or breakfast…
