Speaking of hypocriticalness of requiring ID for guns and voting: California

A state that is using the “death by a thousand cuts” in killing the Second Amendment Rights in their State has summed up the idea of no ID needed to vote here: Statue-of-Loonacy

Laws??  We don’t need no stinkin’ laws!  After all, they just put an illegal alien into a post in their State Government (reformatted, emphasis mine):

Lizbeth Mateo, an illegal alien and citizen of Mexico who came to the country with her parents when she was 14, is the first [illegal] undocumented person to be appointed to a statewide government job in the United States. The job, to serve on the California Student Opportunity and Access Program Project Grant Advisory Committee, is an official government position that seeks to aid poor and “underserved communities” in gaining access to college. Mateo’s appointed was approved by the California Senate Rules Committee Wednesday.  In a statement, Mateo said illegal aliens are “underrepresented” in government. “While undocumented students have become more visible in our state, they remain underrepresented in places where decisions that affect them are being made.”

Gosh, I just can’t understand WHY they are “underrepresented” with respect to the Progressive victimology mantra.  Underrepresented?  That should be not represented until they follow the law like everyone else and come here legally.  That’s all they have to do and if she wants a position in government after doing that, fine by me – but not until.  Here in my town, a LEGAL person that signed up to run for the School Board was thrown off because she was unregistered to vote (yes, we do require ID here in NH in order to vote).

Co-founder of GraniteGrok, my concern is around Individual Liberty and Freedom (and how Government is taking that away from us). My fight, from a Conservative (with small “L” libertarian leanings) and evangelical Christian perspective, is with the Progressives that are forcing a collectivized and secular humanistic future upon us. As TEA Party activist, citizen journalist (and pundit!), my goal is to use the New Media to advance the radical notions of America’s Founders back into our culture again.
