Priority Number One for The Right Should Be…

Thomas Paine - duty of a PatriotThe Omnibus is more of the same (bonus spending edition) after an election where we hoped for better but as I noted here, let Trump play his hand out on the budget and just let that bitch go.

We have bigger problems that need our attention.

Problems that if ignored will put an abrupt end to any notion that we’ll get deregulation, responsible national security policy, border control, more tax relief, another good judge on the Supreme Court, or anything remotely like Conservative or Republican priorities.

None of it. So, pay attention and focus.

Mitch McConnell needs to earn the base’s lost confidence by getting the GOP to toss out the filibuster rule and start passing our priorities because if these hacks blow the Senate majority (and they absolutely could) Chuckie Schumer will do that the first day anyway. Oh, and it would be really good for morale to get Ric Grennell and the other hung-up nominees confirmed. If McConnell has to change the rules to outflank Democrat obstruction, okay.

Did you catch the key phrase of Kurt Schlichter’s point in that paragraph? Toss out the filibuster now because “Chuckie Schumer will do that the first day anyway.”

Never were truer words spoken.

We need to move the agenda forward NOW! And I know it sucks, but we need to protect the majority, as good or bad as you think it is, for at least two more years so that Mr. Trump can work some more magic.

If you bail out now and the Dem’s get a majority in either House we’re done. If they get majorities in both, they’ll try to impeach him.

The world is not perfect. A positive change towards liberty takes at least twice as long as going the other way, probably three-to-five times as long. It’s hard. The left wants you to give up. Every once of energy is being used to keep you quiet and keep you home.

Do. Not. Give. Them. What. They. Want.

We won’t like everything that happens, but life sucks. Take a breath and get back in there. And for God’s sake get out the vote, bring people to the polls, drag them there if you have to, just don’t bribe them that’s illegal – even though it is the basis of almost all progressive policy.

You’re better than that. Right? You want to keep peeling back the regulator state one dog-eared page at a time.

You want better judges, who do you think a Democrat Senate will confirm? No one good.

We didn’t win a war we won a battle. We’ll lose some too. But without backup Trump is useless. A punching bag for the left with an amusing twitter habit.

Contact every US Senator and push hard for filibuster reform. Toss that rule and move a Republican agenda forward. It only helps them keep their majority.

The alternative is to give up and throw away victory and liberty with it.

I’m not doing that. You shouldn’t either.
