What Happened to That Democrat Bill to Muzzle Frank Edelblut?

Democrats throw ($*!t) at the wall until something sticks, and they never seem to have a shortage of the stuff. Case in point. SenateBill 466 was issued the day after NH Ed. Commissioner Frank Edelblut responded to a vapid tweet from Executive Councilor turned congressional Candidate Pajama-Boy Chris Pappas.

The State Democrat Party, who were naturally in on the sting operation, actually said out loud that they didn’t want (Edelblut) transforming the department of education into a political weapon.

That is damn funny, but the goal and the agenda are not, and people need to take note.

SB466 died in committee with (what may well be) one of the shortest dockets in legislative history. The reason it died is simple. Republicans (even in the New Hampshire State Senate) aren’t all that into limiting speech yet (SB120 aside). That and the Bill attempted to silence political activity including speech for every commissioner in the state of New Hampshire.

All to silence one Republican, who is hoping to transform the education department away from the progressive political stranglehold most institutions enjoy indefinitely. To be a commissioner who advocates for all forms of Education, not just the Government monopoly. And perhaps that was enough of a threat but consider how quickly this came together.

Democrats had this, or something like it, written up, sitting in a drawer, waiting for the opportunity to release it.

They had the language to empower the government to limit individuals right to free speech and I know that isn’t all that surprising to activists, but to some folks it’s news.

Executive Councilor (turned Congressional Candidate) Chris Pappas, the State Party – ready with their whiney ironic ramblings, and nine Democrat State Senators (out of ten?) were sponsors.

They tried it once. They will try it again.

If someone doesn’t use this against each and every one of them in their respective elections this Fall, and anyone they can’t get to denounce the effort or anything like it in the future, Republicans will have wasted a gift.
