Go ahead, keep giving me reasons to NOT watch your products – the Oscars

GunControlOscarsPins-640x480UPDATED: An orange flag will be worn by all of the Oscars attendees in support of gun control.

The celebrities will be making a political statement as the symbols are a show of support for the gun control advocacy group Everytown for Gun Safety. According to their website, Everytown “is a movement of Americans working together to end gun violence and build safer communities” founded by Michael Bloomberg. The pins have been sent to The Wall Group, a key agency, and will be distributed prior to the red carpet. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the pins will likely feature the slogan used by Parkland shooting survivors, “#NeverAgain.”

Everytown is an Astroturf outfit bankrolled by former NYC mayor and billionaire Bloomberg who hates guns (even as he’s surrounded by armed guards all the time). They exist, not for ending gun violence but for ending gun violence via complete civilian disarmament.

I don’t watch many movies anymore – I’ve grown tired of the preachiness of the plotlines.  If you’ve watched the box office results, a lot of other people aren’t either – the only saving grace is that they keep raising the ticket prices.  If you’ve also been watching the self-congratulatory back-slapping of overly-paid actors/actresses whose only saving grace (for the most part) is to play a role in make-believe worlds, that preachiness has come through loud and clear – you hate people like me.  Traditional, Christian, white, Conservative, and gun owners.

And instead of the #MeToo-isms added to their congratulations to themselves, now they want to poke their collective Progressive fingers into the eyeballs of the about 150 million Normal Americans who own guns.  That includes me.

Yeah, this certainly endears you to me – just not in the way you think it does.  It also makes more more endeared of my dollars that will stay in my wallet the next time TMEW (who does like to go to the occasional movie).  Every man has got to know his limits and these folks are now beyond mine.

What kind of morons think that keep attacking and mocking half of your potential customers is going to help your box office numbers?
