It’s a new year, and we have the same problems humans have faced forever. Some have more than others. One solution seems to be redistributing what “everyone” has until everyone is “happy.”
Not that long ago such an attempt was made in an oil-rich country in South America.
This small country was so wealthy and socially aware that its fatherly leader even gave some of his country’s wealth to a much, much, larger country that couldn’t take care of its own people. Some socially aware politicians in the greedy, inept, larger country were so kind and caring they saw a need and filled it (With a lot of expensive TV ads and propaganda.)
And,
After years of wealth redistribution, the small socially aware and politically correct country has no toilet paper, and the generous, pontificating, millionaire politician is nowhere to be found.
I hope he is secretly feeding people in that poor country he exploited for political points in the greedy country that can’t take care of its own people.
