Coal to the rescue as record cold grips the East

Tom Steyer's dirty coal_handsThat’s right – the natural resource that Obama declared war against (his promise to bankrupt any new coal fired electrical plant) from before his first inauguration.  He poured billions of our tax dollars into “renewables” that basically only renewed the wealth of the politically connected (re: Solyndra for one). If Shillary had been elected for his third term, quite a few Americans who depend on electricity to drive their furnaces and ancillary equipment for heat (not me, BABY!  I only have to go into my backyard and chop down another one of my “renewables” to keep me going for months). Trump rightfully decided to stop Obama’s Government efforts to kill off an entire industry (e.g., NOT the Proper Role of Government).  Anyways, an abstract from the post:

  • sub-zero temperatures sent demand for heating and electricity soaring on the East Coast Friday in the largest energy market in the nation.
  • Coal outpaced both natural gas and nuclear power plants in the PJM market
  • Coal at 45,842 MW; nuclear power at 35,514; and natural gas at 25,927.
  • Renewables provided 3,086 MW (only 2.9% of the total).
  • U.S. coal production for the year totaled 760.4 million short tons, which is 6.4 percent higher than a year ago

Oh, it wasn’t just Obama – throw and add in all of the “Environmentalists” that would gladly trade your well-being for a “pristine” environment free from humans and our activity as we provide for our families. If it were up to them, they’d eliminate coal, nukes, and natural gas. And then try to take my wood stove from me.
