Is the Reason Kathy Griffin Can’t Get Work Just the Trump Thing?

by Steve MacDonald

BenGarrison-20170531-kathy-griffin-tops-herselfKathy Griffin took to YouTube to share her plight because no one else will put her on the air.

“I just want you guys to know that I am fully in the middle of a blacklist, like I’m in the middle of a Hollywood blacklist. It is real. I’m not booked on any talk shows,” Griffin said.

“I just want you guys to know, when I get home, I do not have one single day of paid work in front of me,” Griffin continued. She said people want her to go back into clubs to do standup, but she’s not going to do that.

How toxic do you have to be for your own fellow travelers in liberal Hollywood and the media to blacklist you (for doing something I’m sure most if not all the progressives applauded.)?

Blacklisted? So, some rich white guys are…

Colin Kaepernick is suing the NFL claiming a conspiracy to keep him out of work after he started the whole anthem kneeling thing and it blew up in the NFL’s face. Why hasn’t Kathy Griffin sued Hollywood? It doesn’t get more pure left-wing narrative than this. A bunch of rich white guys has colluded to keep a woman from finding work.

Amazon should be casting the feature file as I type this but people get ‘blacklisted’ by “their own” in the Entertainment Industry all the time. Maybe, every day. Another word for it is not getting hired, something else that employers make decisions about daily. What value does this person bring to my business?

Where Kathy Griffin is concerned, apparently nothing.

So, why doesn’t she have an “I was sexually harassed or raped by powerful men (or women) in Hollywood” story to share? Tis the “season.” Liberals are ratting each other out in historic numbers. Has Kathy never been groped by a talk show host or producer? No casting couch stories to share? That might get her some airtime; it’s not like they can blacklist her more than they already have.

And what does it say if she doesn’t? What if the stories are about her as the aggressor?

There’s a total blackout on this woman.

I can’t help but think this story has more to it than the Trump severed head thing.

    Maybe because she’s not funny?

But I also see quite a bit of the progressive welfare state mentality there: “She said people want her to go back into clubs to do standup, but she’s not going to do that.” In other words, there is a market for [what some recognize as] her skills, but she isn’t willing to use them to support herself. She either wants the full gig, or nothing.

also “it’s everyone else’s fault I can’t get work.” No mention of “I did a dumb” or “I’m going to do what it takes to move forward”. Instead she’s been *blacklisted* by others and they owe it to her to give her work.
There is probably an element of fear she doesn’t want t admit to as well, such as booking a club and sales are less than spectacular.
If she gets desperate enough, she still has time to jump on the harassment wagon. Anderson Cooper better watch out.

What a shame is karma. Just like Kaepernick, she thinks what she has achieved places her above and beyond what potential employers want to hire her for. OK, then, hope you enjoy the Unemployment Compensation!

Maybe Time Magazine can put her “head “on a pity cover like they just did for that buffoon Kaepernik.
