In the wake of Matt Lauer’s termination, and the self-immolation underway on the left, the news is littered with exciting tidbits from long-time liberal hypocrites about other long-time liberal hypocrites, like this.
On ABC News’ “This Week,” veteran journalist Cokie Roberts made a rather revealing admission in the wake of accusations from women that far-left Rep. John Conyers had assaulted them.
“Every female in the press corps knew that, right, don’t get in (the) elevator with him,” she said, apparently referring to Conyers. “Now people are saying it out loud.” She added that “we all talked about (it) for years.”
As the IBD article points out, “Every female in the press corps knew that Conyers was abusive toward women “for years” and did nothing about it? Try to imagine a reporter making such a casual admission about a prominent Republican.”
We don’t have to imagine it. If it were even suspected it would be national “news.”
Ranking Democrat John Conyers and an as yet unnamed Democrat others have been treating women like sex objects for years, and not just the media but women in the media have been running cover for them.
This begs a few questions.
How long has Senator Jeanne Shaheen known this and why did she not step up to protect these women?
What about Carol Shea-Porter or Annie Kuster? They’ve been in DC for long enough to have heard musings or rumors or even jokes about Democrats or media people to avoid in less than public circumstances.
How many of these predators have been grabbing women’s asses and breasts, getting too close or just making women uncomfortable or fearful knowing that not only would Democrat colleagues and the national media cover for these behaviors they’d defend the accused from any reporting that hinted at impropriety?
Where are the so-called pussy hat wearing defenders of New Hampshire women’s rights like Zandra Rice Hawkins while the liberal establishment is hanging their sexual predators out to dry? They are ignoring it as best they can and trying to redirect attention to something else. Anything else. Proving my point once again, even as the scandals mount. That Democrats do not give a damn about women who cannot or will not strengthen their grip on political power.
(It might help explain their obsession with birth control)
And is the New Hampshire media letting them off the hook by not pressing local democrats or activists for comments? I think we need to explore that too.
And while the hypocrisy is epic and the effect on women horrific, voters and taxpayers in New Hampshire and the nation need to ask themselves, if Democrats would work so diligently to cover this up, what else are they hiding?
