CBS News has fired Charlie Rose after several women accused the veteran newsman of sexual misconduct.
Rose has been one of three hosts of “CBS This Morning” since 2012 and is also a contributor to “60 Minutes.” PBS and Bloomberg also suspended airings of Rose’s nightly interview show after the Washington Post published an article Monday about women who said he groped them and walked around naked in front of them.
The New York Times just terminated former Politico Reporter and White House correspondent Glenn Thrush. Four female journalists (so far) accuse him of unwanted kissing and touching.
And let’s not forget the three Dartmouth professors, whose accusers are increasing as their sexual misconduct investigation proceeds.
Bill Clinton is in trouble as another bit of inter-party civil war bubbles up around Bubba. Dopey Al Franken is struggling (with a second accuser). Democrat Jon Conyers has been exposed for paying off at least one women whom he is alleged to have sexually assaulted. The Florida Democrat Party is collapsing under the weight of sex scandals. [Update – SEIU has fired five union leaders (so far) for Sexual Harassment.]
And whats worse for Democrats, no one in Alabama believe the press about Roy Moore, and now an accusers ex-boyfriend says he doesn’t believe her either.
And Christmas is still a few weeks away.
I wonder what history will call this purge of alleged and accused sex offenders from traditionally liberal institutions (press, media, entertainment, politics)?
They have to call it something. The media is knee deep, and reporting it, so they can’t pretend it never happened.
How about ‘An All Hands on deck sacrifice to Keep One Republican Out of the US Senate?’
It might actually be worth it, though I doubt Moore will lose, and I doubt the spineless Republicans will refuse to seat him, not after the Al Franken revelations.
