The Washington Post dropped a hit-piece last week, but it’s starting to look like the Washington Post is the one who took the hit.
During a segment that aired on Friday’s broadcast of Birmingham, AL ABC affiliate WBMA 33/40’s 5 p.m. local news, political reporter Lauren Walsh sought out voters in Columbiana, AL to gauge their reactions to the Washington Post report that alleged Republican U.S. Senate hopeful Roy Moore engaged in inappropriate conduct with four teenage girls more than 34 years ago.
None of the respondents according to Walsh told her they believed the Post’s reporting.
To quote a local pollster, “So far it seems the people of Alabama believe Roy Moore is more credible than the Washington Post.”
Breitbart is also reporting polling numbers that show Moore, the target, still up by double-digits over the Democrat.
If the story turns out to be ginned up or just false Alabama looks a lot smarter than the Washington Post, along with the Republican Establishment whose strings WaPo tugs. Not that they care. Because, after all, you’re guaranteed to miss 100% of the cheap-shots you never take.
