Quick thought: Hollywood – All that glitters is really nothing more than a crypt. A really bad one.

bone crypt RothwellGlitz. Glamor. Red Carpets. Money galore. A reality all of its own.  And more money.  Power. Privilege.  Klieg lights. The Beauties.

And the strand has been pulled from this ball of ugly yarn. A story land where Life is all fantasy and now we see that those Beautiful People who have been lecturing us Normals for decades have been putting up a shimmering facade that was but a nanometer thick. For all to see, the underside of that fantasy is the crypt that is truly Hollywood has appeared.  In telling us that our values are petty, redneck, old fashioned, and not “hip”, we are now seeing how hypocritical it all really is. Faithfulness, duty, honor, values – you rubes are SO square and behind the times.  And we ARE superior to you – you must adopt the values we tell you to.

Yeah, and your movies are bombing, you can’t come up with an original thought in your collective mind and the message back is “you all suck” and our wallets have been shutting closed (especially this summer season). But you all keep telling us,either yourselves or via your movies that we suck and how dare you not like us!  Humpf!

Harvey Weinstein, Oliver Stone, Ben Affleck all have been accused (and the first and third have admitted to such) of sexual harassment even as they loudly accuse the rest of us via “the Republican war on women”.  Imagine the chutzpah of Weinstein in getting a clause in his contract condoning sexual harassment (as long as he personally paid off his victims) – and his Board of Directors signed off on it! Yet at all of their back-slapping self-aggrandizing “award” events, we see them speaking with disdain at we “deplorables”.  A set of values for us, trumpeted at us at “volume 11” and scorn for not toeing the line

Sex, drugs, immorality, lies, rotten-to-the-core values, payoffs, bribes, intimidation – the Mafia couldn’t pull this off if they tried.  The Weinstein scandal has blown the lid off of this den of snakes almost akin to if the Yellowstone supervolcano would look like if it blew tomorrow.  And the higher that lid goes, other volcanoes start to go boom!  Glad to see it.  I hope it takes them all down.

From a political point of view, Hollywood is a bastion of the Left where conservatives really are an oppressed minority – go against the Progressive viewpoint and you may not work again.  They’ve been one of the most important fountains of funding for Progressive Totalitarian candidates for decades.  I will have to tell you, it really has been a joy to see how fast these politicians are falling over themselves to either return the money or…

…give it to other Liberal groups (and accomplishing similar purpose goes) except for the DNC which hasn’t said if it would return the Weinstein money or not.  Ah, such a vacuous sense of self-righteousness and fulfilment.  Just hollow virtue signaling.

Romney’s “binders of women” were the object of scorn during his campaign for President.  How AWFUL that was – to keep information on females that would have been in his campaign.  He had to PROVE that he wasn’t anti-women and the proof was derided.  Many in Hollywood took part in the bashing.

Yet here are the most Powerful, the richest, the most arrogant men (and I bet some women may come out in all this) used their “Positions of Power” (of which they accuse conservatives of being/doing) to actually harm women – sexually, emotionally, financially, and career wise. Such an entitled self-absorption that allowed these predators playing a huge “play to pay” game around.  Except it wasn’t a game but acts of total domination – and an utter lack of respect for any of their victims.  They wanted who they wanted and that was the end of the story until the wanted rebelled and then the retaliation began.  For all their talk of

Will all these folks end up like Roman Polanski or Woody Allen and never really be “cast out” because of their behavior?

Guess it wasn’t as quick as I thought.
