Notable Quote – Marcus Tullius Cicero

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.”

For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”

Marcus Tullius Cicero

I posit that in our time and in our nation, it is the scourge of Socialism as propagated by Progressives to be exactly that.  They despise our political foundation, they scorn our Judeo-Christian Heritage, they are dismissive of those in flyover country, they hate our military, they hate our economic system, and they hate the fact that there are those of us that still desire and cling to our freedoms and the means to defend ourselves.

They don’t even like to be called patriots and hold our Flag with disdain. They flood us with overlapping laws that create criminals of us all and regulations that tie us down like Gullivers. Yet they call us Normals out to be traitors?

Only to their way of life and governance.  They are the traitors, these that cling to a foreign political philosophy that demands our total surrender.  They are no better, when considering what their end game is to be, than the Islamic Jihadists.
