So are NH Democrats pistol-whipped on Abortion?

Woodburn and Sanborn

After all, there is no “middle ground”, NH State Senator Jeff Woodburn, on the part of Democrats on abortion is there?  Either an innocent unborn baby is alive – or it is dead.  Yet there is NO allowance by the Democrats for compromise on this issue – it is either full on on-demand abortion at any time (even to the point where adults other-than-the-girl’s-parents can take a girl to an abortion mill) or, well, no – that’s the only option. The ONLY option.  Right, Jeff? Would you even consider giving up abortion if the Right gave up the death penalty for convicted felons?

I didn’t think so. Back to your NHPR interview.  Seriously, you want to go to “middle ground” but FIRST you INSULT us?  Way to go, dud(e), in trying to influence people.  Did you spend anytime in Hollywood before coming to NH?

“How can we find middle ground?” Woodburn said. “We do that every day in politics. That’s what we do. That’s what we’re supposed to do. But this issue is so polarized and the Republicans have been pistol-whipped – fear of retribution if they even talk about gun control.”

You’re wrong.  There is no middle ground because ANY suggestions the Democrat / Progressive Totalitarians make always move the Overton Window leftward.  There is never a reading of our foundational laws concerning the issue by the Democrats.  While the right of a woman to an abortion is implied (” is in the penumbra of privacy rights”), they always want to disregard the explicit Right to keep and bear arms:

Second Amendment: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Article 2-A:  All persons have the right to keep and bear arms in defense of themselves, their families, their property and the state.

The language is quite clear and plain – why won’t the Democrats just accept it?  What Woodburn wants is not “middle ground” on guns but the entire field.  Just like with abortion – there IS no compromise on this issue. We now have Constitutional Carry – a true implementation of both Rights (US and NH).  Notice that there are NO qualifiers mentioned and NO restrictions mentioned (e.g., no penumbras).

So what WOULD be in that “middle ground”, Jeff?  Would it include:

  • A gun registry? That is being demanded by Democrats right now.
  • A restriction on the number of guns that can be bought in a time period? That is being demanded by Democrats right now.
  • Law Enforcement able to just come into my house to check how my guns are stored?  That is being demanded by Democrats right now.
  • Limitations on the amount of ammo I can keep?  That is being demanded by Democrats right now.
  • I have to register with the State just to BUY that ammo?  That is being demanded by Democrats right now.
  • A ban on modern sporting rifles simply because they “scare” Democrats?  That is being demanded by Democrats right now.
  • Rather STUPID accessory restrictions that make AR-15’s “more lethal that we gun owners know are a crock?  That is being demanded by Democrats right now.
  • Trying to eliminate ALL semi-automatic firearms?   That is being demanded by Democrats right now.
  • Calls to use the “Australian solution” in requiring a MANDATORY buy back?  That is being demanded by Democrats right now.
  • Calls to outright confiscate ALL firearms?  That is being demanded by Democrats right now.

By any means possible, eh Jeff? Coming up and over using “assault weapons” as a made up care term when we gun owners know that hunting rifles are more powerful and lethal and yet Democrats don’t say a word?

UPDATE 1: Go here Jeff to see just ONE example of the restrictions that would be “middle ground”.

So where is that “middle ground”?  Each and every one of them is seen as yet another step on the slippery to that end goal that US Diane Feinstein has been actively working toward all these years.  And frankly, Democrats have been lying to us for years (re: I thought gay civil unions was the end game – boy, was I naive, right? And my healthcare premiums were going to go down $2500/year? And if the Feds didn’t approve the requested NH Medicaid Expansion the law would expire?

Yeah.  Middle ground.  Yeah.  Trust.

Er, no.

If this gets to you, Jeff, feel free to write a response and I’ll post it.

UPDATE 2: That picture, Andy?  Not the brightest of things to have done.   This needs to be on your “If I could do it over” list.
