An invitation to the White House: President Trump’s remarks on the Opioid Crisis – I’m AUTHORIZED!

US-WhiteHouse-Logo.svgYeah, one has to pass a background check to be able to attend after receiving the invitation to attend.  That information was given to them on Tuesday when I first received the invite.  Now at 7:42am this morning, I finally got the authorization that says “come on down”!

If you are receiving this email, you have been approved to attend President Donald J. Trump’s Remarks on combatting drug demand and the opioid crisis at 2PM in the East Room of the White House today, Thursday October 26th, 2017.

This event will standing room only for media.  We will have risers for tripods.  We ask that you please stay within the roped off area designated for media at all times.

Please see below for call times:

11:00AM — Preset for all approved camera and stills.  Gather at near the palm room doors, we will enter and exit through the North Portico.  *friendly reminder to turn off cameras or set them to bars once pre-set has concluded.

1:40PM — Final gather for all approved media.  Please meet at palm room doors (we will also call overhead).  We will be entering and exiting through the North Portico doors.

Oh well, Murphy’s Laws and all that.  Just wish I had received this early last nite – the plan was to drive down leave very early this morning so as to miss most of the traffic and be there on time. There was no way that I was just going to take off without knowing – TMEW would have been displeased.
