SHOT: It’s nothing, this tax reform that the GOP is proposing
Saving $1,000 a year on taxes is nothing. Less than $100 a month.

CHASER: Data Point: Most Americans have less than $1,000 in savings
A thousand dollars IS a big deal for a lot of people and for this Progressive snob to hatefully (see what I’m doing here) and crassly dismiss ANYONE keeping more of their own money no matter how small the amount is.
But that’s how they roll, isn’t it? The underlying attitude is really “why take that amount away from government – it won’t benefit YOU who earned it.”. And they say it with a straight face.
Tonite is the first Budget Committee meeting of my hamlet’s budget season – I’ve heard that attitude before and I’ll bet anyone a dozen of Goody Good Donuts that I’ll hear it again between now and January. Anyone willing to take me up on it (and yes, “it’s only a cuppa coffee” counts as such as well”).
