If the GOP keeps ignoring me....well, then they have NO ONE to blame but themselves - Granite Grok

If the GOP keeps ignoring me….well, then they have NO ONE to blame but themselves

And that would be:

  • Consistency breeds Trust yields Votes
  • Winning is only a precursor; what is most important is what you do afterwards

They aren’t Consistent, they are breaking Promises, and worse, don’t seem to care.  They pleaded for 8 years – they got what they wanted.  We aren’t.  We aren’t happy either.  I hope they are literally devastated in 2018 for repeating 2006 all over again (emphasis mine, reformatted):

With This New Poll, Republican Lawmakers Should Be Sweating

With majorities in the House and Senate, as well as the presidency, there’s no excuse for Republicans to be faltering and fumbling the way they have. They had seven years to craft a solution to the nightmare known as Obamacare, and when the bell tolled, they were found wanting. A new Quinnipiac University pollshows just how disgruntled Republicans are with their representatives in Washington.

Sixty percent of Republicans said they disapprove, while only 32 percent of Republicans said they approve. American voters as a whole also voiced their disapproval with Republican efforts, with 80 percent saying they disapprove. Fifteen percent said they approve.

You may not like Trump and you may not like his policies but he has been working to keep his campaign promises (and yes, he will probably not keep them all).  More than what the GOP has done thus far – instead, they are, yet again, making excuses for inaction (or just dragging their Establishment heels). Including “it’s all Trump’s fault!”.  Er, no – you are being judged, you GOP CongressCritters, all on your own.

This SHOULD be easy – just keep your word.  What IS it about the GOP elected officials that they seem to believe that what they do/not do won’t affect them?  They got Trump because of their previous actions – didn’t they get the message that they were already on thin ice?

Like I said – 2006 was their “Groundhog Day” and they seemingly are working hard to have it repeat.  At least Bill Murray was amusing.
