Is the GOP, at the national level, a “governing” Party? Governing Parties don’t whine – they just DO.  Certainly not seeing a whole lot of DO outside of rolling back Obama Administration rules and regulations.  Don’t get me wrong but no RESULTS on the items they’ve campaigned on and they’ve had 7 years to prepare for this moment.

Winning is only a precursor: what is most important is what you do afterwards

We, the base, grow impatient.

    And this sums up the problem. Trump, for better or worse, was the “Conservative” of choice. I don’t think he ever thought he’d have to fight so hard against “players on the same team” (McCain, Graham, Ryan, Collins, GOPe). No, they don’t (and shouldn’t) accede to his “demands” but they shouldn’t start from the position of Schumer, Pelosi, et al.
