Embarrassing – GOP just got on their knees to the Dems on this latest budget deal

Yeah, the GOP is alREADY saying “wait until next time!”

Nancy Pelosi & Chuck Schumer are laughing and laughing at this gutless wonders that promised us everything but have given us Conservatives essentially nothing in this “bipartisan” agreement.  As Steve pointed out here and especially here at “On the Crossing of Aisles”:

This is not ‘Democrats’ reaching across anything. This is State Senators elected as Republicans giving Democrats something else they want. Again.

The GOP, may I remind you, hold the House, the Senate, and the Oval Office – they could steamroll the Dems and PROTECT the GOP agenda.  But NOOOOoooooo, they flopped.  In their fear of the Federal Govt shutting down (they don’t remember that after the last time, they GAINED seats in Congress), so much so I swear that I need to send them some of The Grandson’s diapers, the GOP basically gave the Democrats EVERYTHING they wanted – us who brung’em to the dance got shafted.  To wit, to keep the Feds open until September:

  • bowed to Democratic demands to eliminate hundreds of policy restrictions aimed at curbing regulations
  • no money for starting the border wall (in fact, restrictions from even starting it)
  • no more money for Border Agents
  • no new restrictions on money going to so-called sanctuary cities that don’t fully enforce federal immigration laws
  • FULLY funded Planned Parenthood
  • EPA – instead of its budget getting cut, it was RAISED by $81 million and no staff cuts

  • Trump wanted $54 Billion more for the military; he got only $15 Billion (and yet the GOP SAID they were for his amount??)
  • funds California’s high speed train to nowhere
  • couldn’t muster the juice to block the Dept of Labor upcoming fiduciary rule which will hurt seniors seeking retirement advice
  • NIH gets a $2B bump up – instead of the cut that the Rs said they’d do
  • $990M more for famine aid
  • $1.1B more for disaster aid
  • Dept of Energy grows by $74M
  • increase in H2-B low-skilled visas to be issued for more foreign workers
  • A bump up for NASA
  • instead of cuts, these agencies get bump ups:  National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities and the Appalachian Regional Commission
  • prevent the Justice Department from restricting the dispensing of medical marijuana in states where it has been legalized
  • increases funding for wildfire and federal highway emergency relief
  • bails out Puerto Rico’s underfunded Medicaid program as they are getting $295M more after squandering $6.2B of Medicaid money that was given to them IN ADVANCE.
  • Monies for refugee resettlements from the 6 countries that were in Trump’s failed State E.O. is still there.
  • The unconstitutional Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is fully funded despite GOP promises to dismantle it
  • continuing to pay insurance agencies Obamacare subsidies
  • Public Broadcasting not defunded

As Conservative Review said, the GOP got “Run over by a parked car“.  So not only was it about the Dems getting more money, but this really sticks in my craw:

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi also praised the deal, saying that Democrats won the removal of about 160 partisan riders. “

Yeah, the impending $20 Trillion Debt bomb this pretty much all sucks:

President Donald Trump said he’ll sign a bipartisan $1.1 trillion spending bill that largely tracks Democratic priorities and rejects most of his wish list, including funds for a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.

The whole stinkin’ GOP mess is here.

As Steve pointed out as we gave them the House, the Senate, and the Oval Office:

WHAT GOOD ARE THEY???

Freaking weasels – WHAT DIFFERENCE are they when compared to the Dems WHEN THEY GIVE THE OPPOSITION EVERYTHING (almost) THEY WANTED??  This leaves the base out in the cold sucking their thumbs.

And all the Republicans can say “this makes our country safer and better”.  You all should lose your seats – at least the Dems are honest about what they do.
