Actually, it is the correct question (and I include males in that category as well)

Came across this post at CNN (yeah, I know….) that has a title of:

STDs are at an all-time high: Can at-home tests help?

No, testing after the fact is only cleaning up the mess.  The problem is upstream from an “at-home test” – having sex with multiple partners is.  Saying yes is.  Not waiting until marriage is.  Yes, I am adamant about that last part because whether you hate my totally unProgressive attitude and old school morality or not, if it is followed faithfully, you won’t get an STD.  And if you want to call me an evangelical “Christianist” or worse, go ahead, pick my assertion apart.  I’ll warn you – you can’t. If you and your spouse wait until marriage, you won’t get a sexually transmitted disease.  But I digress.  I also totally disagree with this next line that has the correct question:

“So, which one of you is the slut?”

That’s a question that one potential investor asked Lora Ivanova and Ursula Hessenflow while pitching their STD testing startup myLABBox. On top of being wildly inappropriate, the sentiment reveals the stigma associated with sexually transmitted diseases.

The correct question and the correct answer is if you are sleeping around, you made a conscious decision to engage in an act that has consequences (from your point of view, either bad, good, or both). Thus, you may want to use their service, which if you read the piece, that is oriented to those people sleeping around.  Sorry, but “sleeping around”, regardless of being male or female, makes you a slut.  But again, Political Correctness is really Cultural Marxism and Marxism is nothing except totally against the nuclear family and certainly against Christianity and its implicit and explicit moral code (because “thou shalt have no other God before me – The State”).

And the assertion of the questioner is absolutely not inappropriate.

“There are some misconceptions that [STDs are] a young person’s problem or a gay man’s problem,” Ivanova told CNNTech.

The reality is that sexually transmitted infections are pervasive and on the rise. There are nearly 20 million new sexually transmitted infections every year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Rates of contracting STDs are at an all-time high in the U.S.

Well then, WHY are STDs on the rise?  Same reason that I said in an earlier post on a similar topic about STDs on the rise (“unexpectedly”) here in NH – people are sleeping around with people whose backgrounds they don’t know…or are ignoring their own.  They make a decision that could result in disease.  Sorry, I do believe we are better than the animals and that we can control our emotions and urges.  Those of the Left, not so much.

I have to admit that I laughed out loud when I read this last bit:

“We need to be doing both at the same time. Sexually transmitted infections are still a big public health problem in part because of stigma,” said McDonald-Mosley.

Nice try at trying to pass that off.  No, it is NOT about any kind of stigma – it is you trying to hide the real reason (people having indiscriminate sex) and make it go into the dark corner so that people don’t think about the real reason.

Ivanova says she is continually stressing to investors that her product isn’t about sex — it’s about health.

“[Sexual health] is part of overall health,” said Ivanova. “In order for you to be healthy, all of you needs to be healthy.”

Er, no.  If people weren’t having indiscriminate sex with others, there would be no need for your product.
