17 NH School Districts Have Embraced “Transgender” Movement. Who’s Next?

Transgender bathroomOn May 2nd, there was a House Party in Sandwich hosted by Freedom New Hampshire (not the town, the non-profit) “to grow support for statewide non-discrimination protections.” That’s a generic way of saying, advance the LGBT agenda through a so-called transgender rights movement.

Two things you ought to know. First, transgenders already have non-discrimination protection under New Hampshire Law so this “movement” is not about that. Second, Freedom New Hampshire has already advanced this agenda in 17 New Hampshire towns. Sandwich will be number eighteen. And when I say town, I mean town, via the local ‘School districts.’

According to their website, school districts in Rochester, Dresden, Candia, Dover, Epping, Greenland, Hooksett, Monroe, Northwood, Oyster River, Portsmouth, Sanborn, Concord, Londonderry, Merrimack Valley and Somersworth, have already adopted “transgender inclusive” policies. And they are pointing to the New Hampshire School Board Association to make their case in every other district.

In 2015, the New Hampshire School Board Association (NHSBA) released a model policy that laid out guidelines for how schools should treat transgender and gender-nonconforming students. Since then, schools across the state have been grappling with how to best implement these guidelines in their individual districts.

According to the NHSBA guidelines, schools should use a student’s requested name and pronouns, and allow students to use restrooms and participate in sports teams in a way that is consistent with their gender identity. It also recommends that locker room access be permitted on a case-by-case basis.

However, the NHSBA’s guidelines are just that—guidelines. It’s up to New Hampshire’s 238 individual school districts to implement these guidelines.

The goal is to move districts, to move voters, to pressure the legislature, to pass a Transgender Rights Bill, then further expand the LGBT agenda.

So, who is Freedom New Hampshire? I’m still chasing the money trail but it looks like they are nationally funded, backed by Freedom For All Americans, GLAD, and other deep-pocketed out-of-state LGBT groups run by progressives who will inevitably use this list building to advance other progressives ideas detrimental to first and second amendment rights.

Transgenders are already protected against discrimination in New Hampshire. This is about something much bigger.

More to follow.
