Chaser: 2017, Today, April 18th: Venezuela’s Maduro to provide guns to 400,000 loyalists amid peaking tension

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said he will expand the number of civilians involved in armed militias, providing guns to as many as 400,000 loyalists.

The announcement came as Maduro’s opponents are gearing up for what they pledge will be the largest rally yet to press for elections and a host of other demands Wednesday.

No chaser… it’s going to burn all the way down.  Something to keep in mind the next time you hear some progressive sneer on about what you need and don’t need for protection and that you must be paranoid to believe a government would attack its citizenry. Then remind them of their beloved South American Socialist utopia Venezuela. They’ll follow with the pig-ignorant blinkered response, “That could never happen here”. Sure. Sure. Sure.
