…I never saw “Social Construct” staring back at me from the other end of my microscope(s).  Frankly, Saturday’s “March for Science” was dumb, unscientific, and completely devoid of any Principles that were drilled into my head as to how REAL science operates.  That line of that shirt is a complete nullification of hundreds of hours spent as a lab rat getting high on formaldehyde and other obnoxious chemicals.  In fact, that line IGNORES science completely.

Nope, from my perspective, this is yet another example of how Socialists / Progressives have politicized yet another area of life. What now matters is the narrative instead of scientific Truth.  All those whiners were doing were despoiling the good name of Science and showed the rest of us that Science now, in large measure, getting down on your knees and begging Government to be even bigger and throw more money at them.

Leeches, Remoras – I see no difference between those two sucking parasites and those that marched in the streets.  Both of them have one and only one purpose in life: live off of others. They turned from the Scientific and to the Political.

Treat them as such.

Oh yeah, this was pretty good:

Scientists’ March on Washington: Do researchers risk becoming just another leftwing interest group?

Although as somebody said on Twitter, I haven’t seen a marcher yet who looked capable of handling a quadratic equation.

One problem is that many of the marchers apparently believe that scientific evidence necessarily implies the adoption of certain policies. This ignores the always salient issue of trade-offs. For example, acknowledging that man-made global warming could become a significant problem does not mean that the only “scientific” policy response must be the immediate deployment of the current versions of solar and wind power.

The mission statement proclaims that the marchers “unite as a diverse, nonpartisan group to call for science that upholds the common good and for political leaders and policy makers to enact evidence based policies in the public interest.” Setting aside the fact that the march was conceived in the immediate wake of the decidedly partisan and specifically anti-Trump Women’s March on Washington, how credible are these claims to non-partisanship?

As it happens, I received an email on Thursday from the publicist for Shaughnessy Naughton, who is a chemist, a cancer researcher, and the founder of the activist group 314 Action. Naughton’s group is one of the March’s 170 partner organizations. 314 Action’s political action committee is recruiting scientists, engineers, and other technologists to run for political office, and it plans to provide them with the “resources they need to become viable, credible, Democratic candidates.”

Democrats – well, they all wanted BIGGER Govt to get more taxpayer monies or use the Force of Govt to enact policies that are “scientific” (that’s the claim of Socialists everywhere!).  With that last line, MORE budget cuts, please!  And do it faster!

Besides, where in the Constitution does it explicitly say that funding “science” is a fundamental power of the Federal Govt?
