"NO ONE wants to take your guns" is what I'm demsplained. But a gun registry is the first step! - Granite Grok

“NO ONE wants to take your guns” is what I’m demsplained. But a gun registry is the first step!

I keep being told that no one wants to take my guns – no one from anywhere.  Well, I keep seeing a whole lotta stuff from people who “slyly” wish to do exactly that in a more stealthy way (NH State Rep Katherine “the Hutt” Rogers is one of them – she is insistent that I am not of the caliber (heh!) of person to own this kind of inanimate object she claims that can leap off a table and kill a whole town) by the death of a thousand cuts. Helps them when they make each of those cuts costs a thousand bucks, too.

Well, here’s an outright, out of the closet, first stepper – a Democrat out of PA (emphasis mine):

PA Democrat Re-Launches Effort to Create Gun Registry

Since he first took office in 2001, Pennsylvania State Representative Angel Cruz has made it a point to advocate for gun control. But some say his latest efforts show how desperate the movement is to cram infringements down gun owners’ throats at the state level.

House Bill 610, also known as the Firearm Registration Act, aims to give the Pennsylvania State Police the right to maintain a registry of all guns and gun owners in a central database.

In part, the bill states:

“No person within this Commonwealth may possess, harbor, have under the person’s control, transfer, offer for sale, sell, give, deliver or accept a firearm unless the person is the holder of a valid registration certificate for the firearm.”

A re-launch of 2016’s expired House Bill 503, Cruz’s HB 610 would also require Pennsylvanians abide by the following gun laws:

  • A photo ID specifically for gun ownership
  • Fingerprinting of every gun owner
  • Separate, state-issued, $10 certificates for every gun owned by an individual
  • Annual renewal of gun registrations
  • All guns to be unloaded and disabled, unless in the immediate possession of the owner

Nanny not only says “Ask for permission” but also “You WILL OBEY” – this is the Statist way where WE are not in control but Government should be. This makes it SO easy for a later roll-up.  Just as all the leading Democrats said that Obamacare was the best they could get and not the single payer system they wanted (e.g., Obama, Pelosi, Barney Frank, Bernie Sanders), they saw it as a step to a better Socialist state (as with every entitlement program that the Federal Government has even if there is no Constitutional Right to be doing).

Gotta love that last part – what’s the point of having guns in your possession of you can’t use them.  Sure, if you hear a single set of foreign footsteps in your house at 1am, perhaps the pistol close by (would that be considered “immediate possession”?) would be sufficient.

How about 3 or more pairs and a few voices?  How much time would I have to un-disable my AR pistol with a bunch more rounds available against multiple targets intent on no good and a good dose of nerves and adrenalin rush/dump?

No, like my health insurance, I want government totally out of my own right to self-defense insurance.
