Across New Hampshire Capitalism Defeats Marxist Women’s Protest

Frauentag -Socialist Women's Day in Germany

“Bourgeois feminism and the movement of proletarian women,” Zetkin wrote, “are two fundamentally different social movements.”

International women’s day is a Marxist staple that’s been around since 1909. (Or, if you prefer 1911.) But it was always a socialist movement.

Yesterday, according to a staff report in the Manchester Union Leader, ‘women’ across New Hampshire, showed their solidarity with the century old Marxist tradition by wearing red and protesting.

Correct me if I’m wrong but none of the women interviewed by the Union Leader who protested, were employed.

Sure, the piece opens with the ladies who are working.

[su_quote cite=”Union Leader” url=”http://www.unionleader.com/”]Greenland Police Chief Tara Laurent and Lt. Dawn Sawyer wore red scrunchies Wednesday in observance of International Women’s Day.  “Even though we didn’t take the day off, we do recognize that there is still unnecessary discrepancies between men and women in many professions and other aspects of life,” Laurent said.[/su_quote]

By unnecessary discrepancies is she referring the time back in the 80’s when I had the same job as a woman, and she made more? I doubt it. Chief Laurent is probably a great person and good at her job, but she’s still trapped under progressive meme’s and honoring Marxist tradition by wearing red. She should know better.

Further on into the article, we hear from students, moms, and their daughters, but no one who skipped work (see, went on a one-day strike). There were hundreds of students according to the report.

Any chance we can get a partial refund on the New Hampshire taxpayer backstopped tuition assistance UNH begs for every budget cycle for that time?

If we need to knit hats and march outside Mark Huddleston’s office, I can’t be there. I have to work.

[su_quote cite=”Union Leader” url=”http://www.unionleader.com/”]In Hooksett, Kristen Golden, formerly of Take Our Daughters to Work Day and a former personal assistant to feminist icon Gloria Steinem, spoke to 110 lunch attendees.[/su_quote]

Formerly of “take your daughter to work day.” She talked to lunch attendees. That’s groundbreaking. I’m confident that those nearest the top of the Marxist food chain eat lunch.

[su_quote cite=”Union Leader” url=”http://www.unionleader.com/”]Some women across the country planned to mark the day by not showing up for work. But checks with several employers around the state didn’t turn up higher than usual absenteeism Wednesday. About 100 people wearing red and pink gathered on the steps of the Peterborough Town House Wednesday evening for a rally.[/su_quote]

The headline doesn’t lie. “Across NH, crowds gather for International Women’s Day.” On a related note, on the same day across New Hampshire, much more numerous “crowds” of women (and men) worked together to do productive things for which they were compensated in cash and benefits.

Capitalism wins again.

I’ll close with this.
