Appropriate for this post now that the NH State Senate and House have passed SB12 – Constitutional Carry (just waiting for Governor Chris to sign it). The anti-gunners are always clamoring that the “Good Guy with a Gun” doesn’t exist or that we don’t need guns because the police are right there. Well, here’s a case where the police were too far away but the Good Guy was very good indeed (reformatted, emphasis mine):
A customer at a Holland convenience store shot and wounded another man he tried to stop from assaulting the store clerk, the store owner says. The shooting happened about 10:25 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9 at Columbia Avenue One Stop, 405 Columbia Ave. Store owner Jansen Le said a female clerk was on duty when a man described as the clerk’s ex-boyfriend came inside and an altercation ensued. The clerk, in a phone conversation with Le, told him the ex-boyfriend began beating her up. Soon after, another customer came into the store and witnessed the assault.
The customer tried to intervene, Le was told, and the other man then began to assault the customer. Le said the customer separated himself from the attacker and pulled out a gun. Le said the customer warned the other person to stop. “He didn’t listen,” Le said.
Holland Police early Friday said the 29-year-old attacker was shot twice by the 43-year-old customer. The customer had a legal handgun and also had a valid Concealed Pistol License, according to Holland Police. He cooperated with police in the follow-up investigation.
Decisions have consequences and as far as I’m concerned, I’m glad that the woman beater got a double tap by the Good Guy. So we have a lady getting beat up and people like NH State Rep Katherine Rogers maintains that she should not have a gun. I bet Rogers believes that the women should have just let it happen because NO GUNS! But the anti-gunners never have a reasonable answer to that kind of situation other than to teach men not to be TOXIC MASCULINITY. Let me translate – Rogers and her ilk live in La La Land (and not just Hollywood) and believe THEY are the ones that can change humanity with the passing of a law (how can they – we see Progressives all the time failing to follow The Law).
What might have happened if that older gentleman hadn’t shown up and stopped that attack? Hey, the Left is always saying “IF IT ONLY SAVES ONE LIFE!!”. Umm, probably did, this time but they’ll never acknowledge it in this case – ruins the narrative.
Speaking of consequences, I did chuckle over this story – the perp is NEVER going to forget his decision that led to a rather bad consequence and it looks like he’s going to regret it the rest of his life:
A Philadelphia deli owner shot an armed man who was attempting to rob him, police say. It happened around 8 p.m. Thursday at the 65th and Lebanon Avenue Deli in Overbrook. Police say a gun-toting man walked into the deli and declared a holdup.
That’s when, police say, the owner pulled out his gun and shot the suspect in the groin.
Police say the owner is licensed to carry. The attempted robbery suspect was taken to Lankenau Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
So, how’s it feel to be a eunuch?
