A Tale Of Two Young Republicans (on RTW)

A Feisty Conservative Activist vs A Nice Guy Who Wants To ‘Help People’

dean-baileyYour Grok has interwiewed and promoted Yvonne Dean-Bailey on several occasions – she holds down a full time job, has a seat in the State Legislature, and has been involved in national campaigns, IE for Carly Fiorina.

It won’t surprise you to learn that Ms Dean-Bailey voted FOR Right To Work this week.

Rio TiltonThe flip side of the coin is the perfect illustration of some of my favorite Yogi Berr-isms. In 2015, I interviewed and subsequently endorsed Rio Tilton for the State House – he seemed to be of the Right persuasion, and I was pleased to see Matt Mayberry from the NHGOP out stumping for him. However, the first pass of the interview was a little rocky, requiring Matt and I to indulge in a little coaching before recording what you see here.

I should have taken the warning signs more seriously – running for office ‘in order to help people,’ etc: Not exactly a red-blooded conservative, and so, now to the truisms of Yogi Berra: “If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there” and “If you come to a fork in the road, take it!” Well, this week, Rio Tilton came to his fork in the road, lost his sense of direction, and voted against AGAINST Right To Work. Young man, you have about 18 months to rediscover your conservative compass!
