You’ve all seen the side-by showing how much bigger the crowd was for Obama’s first inauguration vs Trump’s on Friday? That’s the baseline for all of the MSM, so it seems:
(Image H/T: Powerline). Lots of white space, right (this year they covered the lawn). Now, on the right, we can see the red brick “castle” (Smithsonian?) and there certainly is a lack of people there and going forward. But remember:
- Obama’s inauguration was a historic event – the first Black to be elected President
- The DC area has turned REAL blue with the large Government workers contingent (re: Democrats)
- DisruptJ20 did have an effect at the checkpoints leading into the Washington Mall
Now look at this Gigapixel from Conservative Treehouse:
The side-bys are from the Washington Monument to the Capital Building – this is the opposite. However, just looking at this, it is clear that there is MUCH less white. And yes, it was shot a bit later on in the day. Now, the nice thing is that this is interactive:

So I did and used the “castle” as a marker. Now, because what seems to be the white building (reviewing stand?) prevents this shot going further down the mall, it is clear that there are a TON more people than what the MSM is claiming and does lend credence to the Trump administration’s claim that there were a LOT more people there.
